Rotten Seeds and Nasty Weeds (Step 2)
Well, according to the second step, it is time to go to the garden of my mind and start weeding. What are those nasty weeds that have helped lead to the issues? I am certain that I can not name all of them at this point in time, but I can name some of them.
The first weeds that need to be notified is that of distrust. I do not trust very many people, for different reasons. When I am not confirmed, or encouraged, I do not trust the individual. Last night, before taking my spouse to the hospital, I sat her down and apologized for that very thing. I did not trust her because I had been hurt. Distrust in the relationship caused me to push her away emotionally.
Another weed is that of anger. According to the Bible, anger itself is not necessarily an evil thing- but how we respond to it is, and I have planted the seeds and grown the weeds of not necessarily anger, but a deep seeded dislike. Pride would be another weed.
As I go through my personal journal that I physically write in, I am reminded of the various weeds that I see growing in my garden. I am dismayed at the thought that so many could grow there, undetected, and unchallenged for years. Thankfully, these weeds are undetected no more. For far to long I have allowed rotten seeds to grow nasty weeds. It is far enough time to allow God to implant the seed of His Word in my mind. I enjoyed reading and sharing last night, as I did this morning, and I look forward to doing it again.

Sounds good!
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.
