Stepping Stone Four
Wow, this was a powerful step. Tears poured. And some more. This one was difficult reading, but I know it's one I need to take. I'd never thought of the different levels, excuses, etc...
As i read I thought back instantly to situations, hardships, times of being abused & experiencing extreme brutal abuse to the point of nearly being killed, broken bones, bruises from head to foot, times of betrayal, and also of times of things so petty and yet not forgotten.
And yet, me,... well, I want forgiven totally and completely. I imaged each person in a photograph, thought about the offense and then stamped a HUGE "FORGIVEN IN FULL" over the top of the photo.
The reading on the 4th Stepping Stone was a powerful one. By thinking of things that the Lord has forgiven me for, has made me want to humbly forgive others as well. I do not want their sins to be carried into heaven. I do not want their sins to be bound on earth. I want to take the knife of sacrifice and cut the bonds of hatred and unforgiveness and loose them from their offenses. If God can give me His grace... I can extend grace to others as well.
I started on this nearly two hours ago, and am just finishing up. Thank you for this step. Very very powerful.
Wishing you God's blessings of love & protection, healing & forgiveness,
Your sister in Christ.
