is it ok to vent?
Is venting same as complaining? I really try to stop the negativity and complaining...but i feel like they are just piling up inside of me and i am feeling rage. I go back to the steps here and i say, oh....ok...i feel better. But some moments are so hard. I feel like an ungrateful brat. underserving of anythng. I feel trapped in my house. I want to run far far away. Leave everyone and just run away. I want to be all alone...yet feel so lonely at the same time. Is it a worldly thing to want to go and "find myself"? I know i am a child of God. But trying to live a godly life in this not so godly world is taking a toll. The battles...every day... some moments are so hard. Just full of unhappiness inside of me....in my mind. I'm falling.... can i admit to falling? Will this cause others who read to fall? But i am just calling out for help because i don't have anyone around me to call out to....

There is a balance. Balance is difficult.
A positive attitude is the way to go. But hiding things inside of you isn't. A little venting will relieve pressure and allow you to be more positive. A lot of venting turns your whole world into shades of gray.
If you don't talk about it at all, then how can people help you?
But be sure and praise God. Don't forget to thank him for all your blessings, particularly the ones related to your aggravation.

Re: is it ok to vent?
there are many things...frustrations from the children to listening to my husband's work day, current financial situation, living with the in-laws. I am constantly putting on a mask to be what they want me to be. But there are times I just want to left alone to just not deal with anybody or anything. Being a stay at home, I feel like I am not doing that much compare to like having to go out to make money AND taking care of the family...I tell myself I shouldn't complain but I DO feel burnt out. I don't know how to find the balance.. To keep my sanity. I guess I cannot handle much. And I am pretty shy and socially awkward so making new friends is hard. I am lonely. And I keep feeling like I am not good enough...yes they are lies from the enemy but I can't convince myself otherwise.

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Re: is it ok to vent?
Thank you, mlg. It was the first time I heard this song. It is difficult to do everything for God but having that mind set helped A LOT, especially today. First of all, I have been having insomnia (I am sure no mothers out there really do sleep well) lately and it has been affecting my mood. Again, I woke up in the morning, grouchy, and remembered to just do it as if God's watching and He will be pleased if I were to do every little thing for God. At first, it was sooooooooooooooo hard but after being grouchy at my daughter, I really needed God's help. I asked God for help as I changed my mind set and tried to do (well almost) everything for God. and what do you know? Today was just an almost perfect day! My children behaved and went to bed early tonight!! And I was actually...happy today! Hallelujah! If we just put our priorities straight and recognize we need to ask God for help, then God really steps in and takes control!!! I pray there will be many many more days like this!!!!!

I can really relate to what you wrote about because i found myself in a similar situation a short while ago. I am happy that you are starting to see the change since you have changed your mindset. Always remember that the Holy Spirit is within you and He is your Helper, your Comforter, your Guide, your Friend, your Strength continue to call unto Him to be any of these things as you face your days! Its what i have learnt to do and i have found that i have become less grumpy, have less negative thoughts and have learnt to embrace my life ( baby & husband & the monotony of being a stay at home mum ) with joy , gladness and appreciation to God and have been feeling happy. Stay strong ....keep praying and yes, He will give you many more days like this...read Mark 11.24
Stay tenderly blessed!
