step 9

Changing habits. Well there is one that came to mind. It is something I chose to change before that I had fallen back to doing from time to time. What I need to do is make a full comitment to not do so again.

I need to ask myself each time if I would be ashamed if Jesus came to my door and I was doing _______. That is the best way I think to realise if something is not right and does not glorify God. It sounds simple enough but I know that I will be tempted. The challenge is to not give in to the temptation.

Hello Ruthk,

Until we get strong enough to look the temptation in the face we must flee and gain His wisdom and strength concerning the temptation. It is my suggestion that when there is an "issue" with a temptation that seems to be plaguing you that you write it down and and do inventory on it. Why is it that this temptation is arising? Write down your thoughts about such issue and disect it with His guidance and be totally honest with yourself. Only you can do your inventory, but find out the underlying thoughts and feelings of why this is tempting you.

I will be joining you in prayer, God's blessed will be done.
