Starting Over

Postby Debbie » Mon Jun 11, 2012 7:56 pm

Well I did pretty well at the party yesterday, of course I can't say that I was terribly comfortable but I did my best. Unfortunately my husband came down on me after we got home, but after my silent lashing out, I forgave him and we didn't go to bed angry. So I'm starting over today--reread Step One on Faith, and took note that we need to pray in agreement for each other's healing.

Father God, I pray for Your touch upon my heart, mind and body--that You will deliver me from selfishness, stubbornness, pride, rebellion and that You would remove every character defect. Thank You that by Your Spirit, You anoint and empower me to know and to walk in Your will, as I surrender to You; help me to surrender more and more. Help me to recognize and to take immediate action to correct wrong thinking, to walk in truth and freedom, in peace and love. I pray and believe for Your transforming touch upon my heart, Father. With thanksgiving and in Jesus' name, Amen.
1 Thes 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you ~ Debbie

Well said & what a beautiful prayer!!! I think each & every one of us starts each day anew with our Lord & He loves & forgive us. I've been taking my time & even though I have only 1 step left I'll be going over all of them especially step 5 in which there is much to learn. God is doing beautiful work in your life & you mean a lot to me as I'm sure you mean a lot to others not only here on this site but also in your own life. God is Love & He lives in us so that means we are love.
God Bless You
