Re: alcoholic
Hello Mrs.D
God bless you this day. And, welcome to Christianity Oasis.
If you or a loved one is an alcoholic, I would recommend finding an AA Meeting in your area and attending those meetings, regularly. I would also suggest getting a thorough medical check-up and talk to a physician, openly and honestly, because one might need assistance when they initially stop drinking, because stopping cold can cause some serious physical side effects due to alcohol withdrawal.
There are a couple Forums on this site, where anyone with addiction can post and others will come along and offer encouragement. We also have a weekly Chat program on Thursday evenings, starting at 9 P.M. (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) called "Real Solutions" -- a time dedicated to those needing support for themselves or for those whose loved one(s) are battling addiction.
I want you to know that you are not alone, and that The Lord Jesus loves you so very much.
God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Re: alcoholic
Hello Mrs.D
It sounds like you have been through much, and I will be praying for you. May God's blessed will be done.
I hope you'll keep coming here and allow us to encourage you. I also hope you'll keep posting -- you can post in the COOL Cafe Forum or in the Real Solutions Forum -- or wherever you feel comfy, ...we'll find your posts.
There are also lots and lots of blessed Studies on this site -- studies that help us seek God's Word on various topics. Here is the link to a list of various studies: http://www.christianityoasis.com/Keywor ... tudies.htm
Also, we do have a Chat Room here, too, and most evenings you'll find many gathering there to chat, to partake in discussions, etc. I hope you'll stop in soon, and let us all get to know you, and vice versus.
God bless and keep you.
Love,
Sister Mack
