I was blindsided the other day by a "luke warm" believer,
He asked if I knew of "Lilith"......No who is that.....Adams first WIFE!!!
I felt dumb, My first instinct was no way your wrong I have NEVER heard of this person but he continued to tell me of watching some program and this was the truth, I thought is this something I missed, is it something I was never taught??
He even provided me with papers he printed from online confirming all he said.
I went directly to the church and we (me and 2 others from church) did a little of our own research to find this is all FALSE!!
she was a myth created by some and it was said she was created to show a strong independent women that did not bow to man.
Aparently as it is told she would not lay with adam and was sent from the garden and that is when eve was created from adams rib
She (Lilith) then became evil, there is a Lilith mentioned later in the bible BUT it is said that THIS IS A poor interpitation of original wording. (I will post the verse later)

Why do I bring this here, Just to get others input on these false people as well as open others eyes to these ones so we as Christians are more prepared than I was when blindsided by this.
I now WILL do more research of this and be prepared to debate the next person who wishes to belittle the creation of God!

I think the answer lies in your first sentence .... "by a "luke warm" " .... well you said "believer" , are there such ? ... I mean the way I know things , they either are or they are not , but then again , that is just me .

On the topic .

I was listening to a Christian radio program one day ( I have posted this somewhere before ... in fact me and my helper were even talking about it today even, ...hmmm) .... anyway . They had an interview with the head (former) of counterfit department at the FBI , after all the talk about how he came to be a Christian and his views , the subject turned to counterfit money .... accepting some calls from listeners , one person said "wow , it must be tough to try to catch up with all the counterfitting business , for they come up with new tricks on a daily basis , and it must really be hard to find the personnell to study all these counterfit bills everyday " .... and the man's reply was kind of an eye-opener for me as well , he said , "No we dont have to study all the counterfit bills to see what they look like so we can spot them easier , but rather , all we have to do , is study the REAL McCoy really carefully and know what THAT one looks like , then , when a counterfit shows up , we can spot it a mile away ! "

I have heard the myth of Lilith before. It was even on the History Channel !!! Anyways I feel the main danger is to the new believer and you were right to check it out CuC. There is always something new...at least allegedly new... coming out daily and we should all be aware and ready.

Isaiah 34:14 (KJV) The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl (liyliyth in Hebrew, pronounced li-leeth, with a soft "i") also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

Verses 13 - 15 all mention animals/birds that are considered unclean. Those are the only animals that scavenge on a particular land that God laid waste -- a desolate place.

The entire chapter 34 is an interesting read. Thank You Jesus.

We've all believed things erroneously taught us...such as Eve eating an apple. The Word does NOT call it an apple. But, I believed it for about 52 years. Thank You Lord for the blessed correction.

That really hits the nail on the head, when something doesn't feel right the Holy Spirit does stir inside us. The Holy Spirit will guide us to all truth. The Spirit of God is our great teacher. 1 John 2:27 but the anointing which you have received from him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone should teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in him.

One day I asked God "How do i know your true children, how do i recognise them for many do come and decieve.
This is what he gave me:
1 John 4:1-4 beloved do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. by this you know the spirit of God , Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. Thank you all for posting on this, it just blowed my mind to hear this and then upon researching it a little it blowed my mind even more.
Vahn: I may have found better words but I am not one to believe its one or the other, let me explain I grew up in the church but fell to drugs and the streets BUT even though I followed that lifestyle I was still a believer of God and His word I just chose not to follow

Humblevisitor: YES this is where this person saw it so being who he is it WAS for sure truth because it was on the history channel.....BULL!!! I enjoy some of the programs there BUT things like this make me want to never watch that channel!!

Here is some more NONSENSE I found pertaining to this myth
A female demon of the night who supposedly flies around searching for newborn children either to kidnap or strangle them. Also, she sleeps with men to seduce them into propagating demon sons. Legends told about Lilith are ancient. The rabbinical myths of Lilith being Adam's first wife seem to relate to the Sumero-Babylonian Goddess Belit-ili, or Belili. To the Canaanites, Lilith was Baalat, the "Divine Lady." On a tablet from Ur, ca. 2000 BCE, she was addressed as Lillake.

One story is that God created Adam and Lilith as twins joined together at the back. She demanded equality with Adam, failing to achieve it, she left him in anger. This is sometimes accompanied by a Muslim legend that after leaving Adam Lilith slept with Satan, thus creating the demonic Djinn.

In another version of the myth of Lilith, she was Adam's first wife before Eve. Adam married her because he became tired of coupling with animals, a common Middle-Eastern herdsmen practice, though the Old Testament declared it a sin (Deuteronomy 27:21). Adam tried to make Lilith lie beneath him during sexual intercourse. Lilith would not meet this demand of male dominance. She cursed Adam and hurried to her home by the Red Sea.

Adam complained to God who then sent three angels, Sanvi, Sansanvi and Semangelaf, to bring Lilith back to Eden. Lilith rebuffed the angels by cursing them. While by the Red Sea Lilith became a lover to demons and producing 100 babies a day. The angels said that God would take these demon children away from her unless she returned to Adam. When she did not return, she was punished accordingly. And, God also gave Adam the docile Eve.

WOW.......that's all I can say.

I liked your post. Really important. If I may provide similar testimony, I was once a teacher in a Catholic primary school (I don't want to get into any debate on Catholicism here. I am not one, and besides, that's not the issue here). I attended a work-related seminar led by a high-up guy in the Catholic education system. He spent the better part of the session attempting to debunk all of the major pillars of the Christian faith. Then, he said,'Hey, don't lose your faith because of what I've told you. Knowing all of what I've just told you has only made my faith all the more stronger.'
It is exactly this sort of intellectual double-loop-to-loop and triple-sommersault way of 'rationalizing' that causes so much confusion. The 'Luke-warm believer' is the person that wants to have their cake, and eat it too.
But hey, to cut a long story short, Cuc, it's great you so methodically checked out the claims of the lukewarm believer, and then consigned them to the dustbin. In Matthew 24;24 we are warned that even the elect could be deceived. We have to be vigilant, and I think you showed a strong example of vigilance.
Just a footnote: I believe strongly that God has warned me that the satanic mystery babalon religion of the end times will be a lot more subtle and deceptive than many well meaning Christians realize. What I mean is that the mystery babylon religion will not be some brand-spanking new, or already established, easy to pick false religion. Rather, it will be an insidious new-age/ancient mysteries doctrine that will, and is already sneaking into various religions. What this means is that a person may well be able to identify and even consider themself a Christian right up to the end of time, while at the same time having been completely allied and in sinc with the satanic religion of the end times. Part of this would no doubt be mixing truth with lies, such as accepting the Lilith myth.

This Lilith person is beyond doubt just a myth. there is no chick in the bible that is "Adam's first wife". its just wrong. srry for the "loud" (lol) opinion but thats wat i believe . i miss u all so much! but when all u adults (NO FAIR! LOL) chat at nite, i'm in bed!!! luv u all.
