Help Please?

Is there a magic button to click or key to press to get back an accidently deleted work?

I typed for hours and then "POOF" ! Its gone!

I think I hit the space bar and another key, maybe one of the "alt" keys next to it, at the same time,
and it all just disappeared!?

Well my dear bro, it depends.... On a great number of things actually

What program were you... pardon me.... protected identity person .... using when this occurred?
If it was any Microsoft program, you can immediately right click and click "undo" or use the lil half circle backwards doojiggy on the top menu bar. Placement of said doojiggy varies depending on year of program but all appear at the top of your page, somewhere... it is like "Where's waldo" just look around you will find it.

If it was here, forum post, forum mail etc. .... as long as you've NOT typed ANYTHING since if poofed you can right click and click undo and such will reappear... BUT if you press any button... ANY (ie spacebar, enter, backspace, a letter or number... ANYTHING) sad to say, such is H I S T O R Y.
