Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Jill, why you so sad? Where is that root? Is it deep? Or just missing home and think Jesus is there but not? Faith oh man sometimes we get winded. I did. Breathe, push past the labor pains. It bites but keep biting. BIGHT IT growl gggrrrrr cry some more, roll around, foam at the mouth what ever it takes. WE sisters and brothers our duty is to pull you back to joy and peace and eternal love. God's kingdom in heaven Jesus said is at hand, your will be done Father on earth as it is in heaven. Any depression in heaven? NOPE! The importance of bringing that Heaven in our hearts to earth so we dont have to be home sick. Good to be mountain climbers but Jesus said if you have faith like the grain of a mustard seed you can say to that mountain be thou removed and cast into the sea. It takes faith in love to do that. True love never fails, but have you tasted or breathed or eaten true love ? That might be why you are spiritually anemic. Moses had to climb that mountain because they were under the old covenant but we are the chosen generation to the new covenant Jesus blood covers all and He gave us his teachings as the good Shepherd does like King David predicted in Psamls 23 for he makes me lay down in green pastures. AND for more added coolest things, David even predicted by his own tears how our future messiah would die .... but we know later Jesus ressurected, well so can we over depression.
All I know is, I am working hard to bring this God love to the earth so people know He set the captives free. You dont need to suffer like this at all. For man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Hey family
I'm believing the worst is over with the depression. I have clinical depression. It comes, it goes. Many factors onset the spiral (if i list them here then, they will grow again because it will then take me backwards back into the cycle), and once the spiraling begins and I dont catch it in time it takes me a moment or two (sometimes days or weeks) to pull out of it completely. Work helps and keeping myself busy learning new things to keep my mind occupied. Yesterday morning, after feeling really down, vahn and i went to the craft store and i picked up a new craft i know nothing about. It takes concentration to learn and sometimes frustration, but positive frustration because it reminds me spiritually that I am always learning and if one way dont work for me, study it again and keep trying til i get it right. Much like the depression i suffer from ie.. pay attention to warning signs, pinpoint thoughts when they occur and address right away before i run away with them, communicate with another and seek counsel instead of distancing myself.
Good news is, they are becoming less as i practice these methods just the way the are laid out for me to learn, not the way i think it should be. And if im doing it "wrong" then go back from the beginning and learn it again with a new slate and open mind and of course guidance from my sponsor. It works if you work it. SO work it cause your worth it.
Thanks for all the encouragement and prayers, i am praying and hoping this is passing.
God bless

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Feeling so much better now God is sooo good
As i battle all the negative thoughts i throw myself into other people to get away from it.
I love my job It is the best job to be a caregiver. I am so thankful, where i else would i be able to converse with lawyers, doctors, dedicated housewives, pastors, business men who traveled the world, pilots, teachers, professors, psychologists, military men and women.... the list goes on and on. So much wisdom and experience in these precious souls. The desire to learn and listen to their life experiences, develope friendships and invited into their homes with love and open arms. These people know how to love and appreciate the love they recieve.
Widows and widowers, some depressed and wanting to go home. A widower whose wife was not able to bear children, going through photo albums, throwing pictures away... He has no grandchildren to share them with and he thinks no one would be interested in them. Needless to say i was I was interested in his travels and looking at the photos of his journies, wish i could of spent the whole day with him. I wouldnt let him throw away any photos . We organised what i had time to do and started to find places to store them and thought of ways to display some of them.
This particular gentleman had this beautiful coffee table length carving on his wall, he showed me the photo of the tribal man in South America who made it for the cost of a bicycle. He told me about a story that i thought was cute.. id like to share here.
They were setting up hotels in South America for the company he was working for, there were tribesmen and women who were in the area. There was a group of missionaries who invited them to a church service but told them that the women must wear clothing. So this group gave the tribal people clothing, bras for the women and dresses. The man chuckled as he told the rest of the story. The women showed up to church on Sunday morning and cut circles in the braziers and wore them just like that I laughed, we laughed together... how innocent and awesome was that. He says come as you are, my loved ones.... Oh that made my day, my whole week
Oh how i love to hear from them and take the time to get to know them and grow wonderful relationships with them, what an awesome priveledge.
Well lets leave this post on that positive note.
God bless us all

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Fighting these ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) is becoming a lil easier. As i struggle with depression, i often blame myself for falling into these pits. Without educating myself with which i suffer i would probably continue to blame myself and think that i did something wrong along the way to bring it upon myself. TRUTH is my brain is lacking in some kind of way, which is the onset of my depression, environmental factors (death in family) as well as other factors magnify the feelings of hopelessness and blah. Mild OCD doesnt help, i get stuck on negative thoughts and lack the "gear shifting" of the ANTs. Being armed with these facts i can be more at ease with myself and begin to take action with a regimen of how to pinpoint areas that seem to onset these feelings. Also what helps is knowing that feelings can lie to me as well.
And the Truth shall set you free.

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things i cannot change;
courage to change the things i can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next
~Amen

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Love over Law?
Sin is sin in the eyes of the Lord, His blood covers them ALL?
Love can do what the law is incapable of doing. Law is cold and empty. We may obey the law out of a sense of duty or for fear of punishment. But love creates a desire to do the right things for the right reasons and that is far more powerful.
Unconditional love separates the individual from her or his behaviors. The individual is loved unconditionally as a "perfect" child of the Higher Power. However, the individual may exhibit behaviors that are unacceptable in a particular situation.
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1Peter 4:8

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Awww Sis I cannot fix this...no one can BUT you said something at the beginning of the first post
You do not have to agree with or allow this life style she is choosing right now to love her, just like when we sin our Lord does not love us any less and sometimes He reaches out to us even more at these times because He knows we need Him most then, maybe it is the same with your daughter??
I wished I had the answer to heal your broken heart over this but you already know there is only ONE who has the answers
It is as you said, your basically not going to stop her even sending her away to grandma's......there's girls there too.
BUT as for the not in my house rule yep for sure!! and don't even think about bringing or inviting her to any family functions (at least until she is an adult and then it would depend on the family acceptance)
but I would be just as you are in this but one thing for sure I know you would be just like I would and love her just as you always did....Loving her does NOT mean accepting her lifestyle
I will pray the Lord shows you the answers you need to deal with this.
Now on to the other and JUST as important part of your post
PLEASE do not EVER feel shame for anything you come to us with we ARE your brothers and sisters in Christ and just as you done with me MANY of times we are here to lift you in prayer and stand with you through the trials, do NOT allow satan to put shame into your mind, you have NOTHING to be ashamed of!
Much love and respect as well as prayer to you sis

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
This spring break has been a Godsend.
Here is an excerpt from a reading "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff With Your Family"
Experience Calm Surrender
... We fight, get angry and annoyed, and wish things were different. We complain, fret, and commiserate. Yet, when you add up all this frustration, the end result is always the same: The things we are frustrated about remain as they are. No amount of gritting our teeth or clenching our fists makes the least bit of difference. In fact, it only adds fuel to the fire, often making things worse than they already are.
Calm surrender is not about giving up. Nor is it about being apathetic, lazy, or not caring. Instead, it's about appropriate acceptance, being willing to let go of our insistence that the events in our lives be any certain way or different than they actually are. The wisdom of this strategy is simple: Although you might wish things were different (or demand it), they are not. They are exactly as they are. This doesn't mean you shouldn't make changes or encourage improvements--you absolutley should do so in those instances where you feel it's important or necessary. What this strategy is addressing is the frustration that comes from not having things go your way....
Ah much needed! Thank U Lord
God bless
