Acts 5:27-29

And when they had brought them, they set [them] before the council. And the high priest asked them,
saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!" But Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men. NKJV

I am currently taking an online history glass, since i can't go to school. And for part of the course we have to respond to questions asked by the teacher in discussion forums. One of the questions my teacher asked, was "When is it ok to break a law?" I quoted the above verse, and said the following-

"I am a Christian, and Acts 5:29 says "We ought to obey God rather than men."

God says clearly that we should respect the government, however, if the government wants something that's wrong, we need to follow God instead.... For example, Christianity is forbidden in many countries, and if for some reason it is ever forbidden here in the United States, i will illegally be attending an underground church, i can promise you that. Jesus Christ is my everything, and i would be lost without Him. And everyone has a right to hear about Jesus, everyone has a right to a relationship with God, everyone has a right to God's word, and such a law would attempt to take that right from the people. I would never support that!"

But those were bold words... that is easier said than done! Its hard to stand up against the government, even when you know a law is wrong. The government in America has already passed laws that are wrong, such as allowing gay marriage, and abortion, and those are bad enough, but what if someday in the future our freedom of religion is taken away? What if someday in America, or whatever country you live in, Christianity becomes illegal? Will you have the courage to go to church anyway? To wear christian clothing, pray out loud in public, share Jesus with others, or leave Gospel tracts in public places?
There are people every day in other countries faced with this decision, pray for them! Pray that they would have the courage to stand up to their government, and not only have a close walk with God, but share the love of God with others! And pray for yourself, that if you are ever put in the same situation you will be equally bold in the name of Jesus Christ.

*God please fill your servants with courage in the countries where even owning a copy of your word is forbidden. And please give me the same, if i am ever put in the same place!"
