Entry 8

Today I cried, but this time it was tears of joy. I was praying and I just got overwhelmed and started crying. For the first time in as long as I can remember I truly had faith and believed in what I was asking and praying for. I feel like I can tell any mountains to move and oh I have, but there are some mountains that I am not yet ready to conquer. I have such a long way to go and I don't want to get ahead of myself, one day at a time sweet Jesus. God keeps revealing so much to me and I am thankful. I have not been as faithful as I desire to be, but I will keep trying.
Today's step added the topping needed to make a perfect day. Here I was telling myself I am only human, I know the Holy Spirit resides in me yet looked at things in that way. I am thankful for the revelation. I believe step 7 really did the trick, I keep flicking thoughts off my shoulder as I renew my mind and strenghten my fight.
As I read the passage from Mathew and thought about how whatever I ask for I can recieve, even when it relates to temptation. I thought of the hymn "Yield not to temptation." To be honest, I often refrained from asking God to keep me away from certain temptations. I could know I am about to enter a tempting situation yet I don't ask and I go ahead and 'fall into the trap of sin'. Then I dont feel as guilty when I go and ask for forgiveness. This is one of those bad habits I'll be working on from now on.
God is good, it feels good to Let Go & Let God.

Ask the Savior to help you,
Comfort, strengthen and keep you;
He is willing to aid you,
He will carry you through.

Hello KrysyK :)

God bless you this day.

You are truly embracing this study and The Lord's message within the scriptures. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!! God is so very Good!!!

You said:
Here I was telling myself I am only human, I know the Holy Spirit resides in me yet looked at things in that way.

Hallelujah!!! Awesome revelation from The Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:3
King James Version (KJV)

3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

(emphasis added by Mack)

and here is the same scripture in the NIV...

1 Corinthians 3:3
New International Version (NIV)

3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

(emphasis added by Mack)

Isn't that awesome??? Just as The Holy Spirit revealed to you, we aren't just left to our own devices, we have the power of God indwelling us through The Holy Spirit. Wooooohoooooo!!!

Oh, and how about this one...

2 Peter 1:9
King James Version (KJV)

9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

(emphasis added by Mack)

We do tend to default to the flesh (our old nature) at times, but we have a Wonderful Counselor in The Holy Spirit and He will nudge us and remind us whenever we stray or start reverting back to our old nature. Thank You Lord for loving us and for Your Word/Jesus, Your revelations, Your patience, Your guidance, and Your love. \o/ \o/ \o/

Your journal of your journey with Him is inspiring, KrysyK. :)

God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Thank you for your words of encouragement Sister and for the scripture verses. God really is great, His word says it all and it's such an amazing feeling when the plain truth is revealed to us. May God continue to bless you also.
