Hello there. There is a new fantasy movie comming out called The Golden Compass. When I first saw the trailer, I got pretty stoked. But after seeing a Myspace Bulliten post of a friend and doing some online research, I have discovered some rather dissapointing facts about the movie and the book trilogy it was based off of. There are many "anit-christian" themes according to various sources. These themes come directly from the author who is, apparently, a very active aetheist. I will not elaborate on them now, but they are quite bold and vicious twoards christianity in general, particularly twoards God himself. I have heard that these themes have been extremely watered-down in the film version.

However, I cannot, in my mind atleast, dismiss the fact that my only source for these claims comes from the internet. I encourage you to do research of your own and get back to me on it. Let's start talking people! I am extremely interested in hearing everyone's opinion and anything else you have heard.

I have also seen the the previews on the tv.. I have several other people also checked out different thing and came up that this is not a movies that any christian person should watch since at the end of the movie or close to the end of the movie (they) suppose have killed of God...In my (own) mind any Christian person/family should not watch it and boycott it.
