Feeling down

Postby tntchao » Sun Nov 13, 2011 1:02 am

This has been an incredible week. I have received many signs from God that he is working on my marriage. Even with all this going on I am feeling a bit down today. I must be doing something right because the enimy has been working on me since early this morning. I recognized his handywork but outting some doubt and fear into the progress I have been doing. He has also affected my mood some. At least I am able to see what is going on and pray for relief from this monster. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

It's not uncommon to feel down after feeling up. Life can be like a roller coaster. Up and down. Sometimes the downs are really deep down and sometimes the ups are really far up. But through it all we have the Lord and He sends us His spirit to help us through. He's so good like that. Emotions aren't bad. They are given to us by God. God feels emotions. It's what we do with them that can cause harm. Lashing out at people who didn't deserve it, separating ourselves completely for others for long periods of time, doing things to hurt self or others, and on and on. I find when I count how many of my thoughts are self centered (focused on me) I begin to see the problem. I have to many me thoughts and not enough thoughts about Him. Turn your thoughts towards praise. Thank Him. He is deserving of it. Sometimes it's hard to find things to thank Him for. The bible speaks a lot about Gods ways. He is good. He is gentle. He is loving. He is there forever. He is holding you. Thank Him for those things. Ps. 139 really spoke to me about Gods goodness lately. Just some thoughts on what might help you in this time of being down.

Hang in there, you're doing great! God is still on His throne and He is still in the miracle working business! *BigGrin*
