My desire for freedom.

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

My desire for freedom.

Hello all, I have been struggling with a porn addiction for about 5+ years now.

It started around the time I entered High School which was around the time where my family stopped going to church because of the distance. I have tried to quit from the beginning which caused me to actually open up the bible for help but every time it seems I have managed to break free for a while I get pulled back in and out. I get so disgusted at myself as every time it seems I try to better myself by getting closer to God I feel a pull even greater than before dragging me down the pit which has been a real snare in my life.

I really don't have anyone here except Jesus to tell this to here because not much communication ever has gone on in this home, I really don't have a family member I wouldn't be to embarrassed to be open with nor have I have any friends my age except for the ones online.

Thanks all.

Hey Chrisday *Wave*

Welcome to the Oasis, so very glad to meet ya!

Welcome also to the SOS Forum. Seems I can only echo what our awesome sis momo n bro pjm have shared so..,

What they said :)

I truly pray you will consider pjm's suggestion to travel the CCCC Steps study... God truly has helped many souls break free and begin healing through that Spirit-filled journey.

Also, when ya feel comfortable, there is an awesome Chat Program that supports this forum (SOS) held on Wednesday nights at 8 PM EST... we will save ya a beanbag chair for whenever :)

Remember above all else (even when cruddy whisper the opposite of these truths)...

You are Accepted, You are Loved, You ARE His.

Honored to travel the path toward healing with ya bro.

Peace n Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani
