i wanted to know because i recently found out that my brother was a psychopath. They like to manipulate people, harm others and laugh when doing so, put his pride before anything, he does no care for the family and he is only nice when he needs something from someone. I wonder can someone be born evil or does the devil just use people and as they grow with more of the devils thoughts there soul become more evil?

I think we all have many, many choices. And each choice leads us to a new set of choices. We can open our hearts and minds to God. Or we can open them to evil. God is a gentleman. He gives us free will. The devil is not a gentleman. He takes what he can take - steals what he can steal - destroys what he can destry.

He goes back and forth, seeking what he can devour.

I think psychopaths have been devoured. It seems that there are a number of mental illnesses that seem to result in an empty soul. Where do you think it went?

First welcome to the oasis, I would have to agree wholeheartidly with my sis dema on this
I believe we are ALL born innocent into this world and from there is choices and paths throughout our lives and each one before effects the one after and unless we see we are traveling down the wrong paths and ask for God to forgive us we end up unable to return from satan's grasp, I believe every life is different but the results of our actions are not, if you do not go to God and ask for His forgiveness and mean it from the heart I believe satan will always have his hold on you and WILL as sis says "devour you"
This is only my opinion and I'm sure you will get some others with more biblical knowledge than me that can give more insight than me.

Hi mercedes12, and welcome to Oasis. So glad you are here.

We have an enemy, such has been said here, who is in a battle for our souls. In addition to whats already been said here, I would encourage you to pray...pray..and pray some more for your brother. He is in need of Jesus, as we all are. God can and does overcome anything He wills. Pray for him. Intercede for him.

Im praying for you, your family and for your brother.

p.s. Im being led to share this with you...a pastor I had one time was one of the most loving God-fearing men I knew. God's love radiated from this man's heart. As a child, he was abused. His mother had been a high-priestess in satanism..she hated the very name of God. He grew in the Lord as she grew further and further away. His heart ached for her soul. He prayed, prayed, lamented, prayed, fasted...for years..and years, as the Lord led. In her older years, the Lord reached her..healed her, and saved her. Please be encouraged..intercede for him.
