Called to the Netherlands

Postby VelociraptorJenny » Tue Jun 14, 2011 12:46 pm

Hi, my name's Jenny, and I believe that when I was 10 years old, the Lord spoke to me and told me that I would one day be a missionary in the Netherlands. At the time, I bairly even knew that the Netherlands existed. Now I'm 16 and I have a friend who I email in The Netherlands, and I will be going to a collage to get my degree in Intercultural Studies. It's amazing to me how God will open up doors if He has called you to do something. Has anyone else recieved a calling to the Netherlands or a foriegn country? I'd love to hear from you!

You are blessed to have heard and understood His calling at such a tender age :)

If I may, as you conitnue on this path, perhaps speak to your Youth Minister if you have such available or try reaching out to others in your area.... Youth Mission Trips are not unheard of (with parental consent, of course). It would offer you an opportunity to explore His Work in this calling and allow you to move forward from there.

I've never been to the Netherlands specifically. :) However, we are blessed within the Oasis family to have no geographic limitations. As you seek to continue to grow in His Will, He will send forth a message with an answer to His intended path for you.

Looking forward to seeing you around the site again soon. Blessings to ya on this journey!

Peace n Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Thanks :) I don't have a youth pastor, but I went on a mission trip last year to Nicaragua. It was really fun! I have a friend in the Netherlands who is a native missionary, and it just might be that one day I could end up working with her at her mission! Can't wait to see what God will do and how He'll use my other interests for His purposes. I believe that everyone has been called to one great purpose, but it is their choise whether or not they fulfill it with God's help. *Cross*
