\o/ Victory \o/

Postby Lani » Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:34 am

Hey y'all :)
Felt led to share something that began, quite truthfully, a few weeks ago as I read a Newspaper Article while waiting for my doctor's office to get around to my (now thirty minutes late) appointment... :)
We all know I am a little strange.... but I enjoy waiting as it requires me to simply... be (but that is for another time).

First, His truth as revealed (for a very different focus) just yesterday:

1 Peter 5:8-10
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because

you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Do we KNOW this?
Do we ACKNOWLEDGE it?
Do we ACCEPT it as truth? HIS Truth?

This scripture was discussed in Building Faith last night and it brought to mind a bit of that Newspaper article I had read weeks earlier.

The story was shared in the Wall Street Journal, May 7th edition.
In it, a Navy Seal shared of the grueling training one endures becoming a "Seal"
At the start of training, his "class" began with over 200 participants. When they completed the training.... only 21 remained.
He said (basically) 'Of those who succeeded, many had one common denominator. Regardless of appearance or physical ability, The man who had the ability to look beyond his own pain and ask... how can I help the brother next to me endured' found Victory to Overcome.

This is of course, not word for word as I don't have the paper... but :) Let His truth shine through without the specifics.

No Matter what you face on this journey around the little blue blob... rest assured Brothers and Sisters face similar trials.
God Himself tells us this truth.

Nah! it can't be...
I am suffering this alone...
No one has faced such...
It can't be true...
No one could possibly understand...

Uh huh....

If it walks like duck
Talks like a duck
and Acts like a duck....
Well, I highly doubt you will turn around to see a Cow. *dunno*

Similarly...
If it causes doubt...
If pain is all that follows...
If loneliness is all that is felt...
I can assure you this is the work of cruddy, the don't deserve a name enemy of our soul.

Release these lies and allow His truth to lead you to the Victorious Life HIS Light promises.

No matter what you are facing, I pray HIS light shines and that focus grants you a moment of peace to strengthen you to keep going.
I also pray that you will take a moment to reach out (if only to one) to say "I understand and I care".

Trials will come.... no one is immune.
Thank the Lord we have the Fellowship of HIS family to encourage us along the way.

Again, if you need proof He cares, hears you, loves you... LOOK AROUND.
God has led you to an awesome ministry full of opportunities to grow in Truth and an entire family, all over the world and joined together in One common bond.
We are stronger when we stand together; We care because we've been there.

He Loves you... please share that love with another.

It is an honor to stand in faith and fellowship with each of you.

Peace n Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Hello Lani *hug*

God bless you this day.

Thank you for sharing. There is victory in Jesus.

While it may not feel like victory sometimes, but more like we barely escaped the worst by the skin of our teeth -- none the less, it is still victory. If we will take the time to celebrate those victories in Jesus, no matter how small, it helps us to change our focus -- and be mindful of God. And that is the greatest tool we have...a mind focused on our Lord, our God!!! And once our mind is turned from our trial onto Him, we will reach out to others in His love.

Oh, and Lani, yes...you are an odd duck. *BigGrin*

God bless and keep you, Lani *hug*

That really hit home.....these are all my feelings for the past 2 weeks. I am removing things from my life that DO NOT need to be there and it hurts. I can no longer take lies for truth. God is good to get me through anything as HE has done so many times before. God is the great fixer.....I will be just fine. TY again for your words....and for being a great sister in the Lord!!! *BigGrin*

Luv you!!!!
