Newcomer
Hello!
Although I've visited the chat room several times, I've never formally introduced myself. I'm a teacher by trade. However, I'm at home now homeschooling my son. I'm a behind the scenes kind of person. . . so my involvement at church is either behind a camera or cleaning up (yes, toilets included) w/ the volunteer crew. I'm currently teaching a home group in a Bible study. Now that's a stretch for me. It's hard to blend in w/ the woodwork while you're teaching.
I look forward to getting to know ya'll. Blessings! Bugsy

Re: Newcomer
Hi Bugsy,
Welcome. Nice to meet you. I just joined also. I am a also a teacher currently without students (not including helping my teens with homework) I homeschooled my sons for 6 years. Now that they are in public school, I really miss teaching and am dragging on my feet on getting a job. I love being able to pick them up and be available after school. My mom worked all my life. I really miss homeschool flexibility also. Maybe I will catch you in chat room.
I love homeschool moms! They are

Re: Newcomer
Diane,
I know exactly what you mean concerning flexability. I love the freedom of making our own schedule (not to mention taking vacations when the crowds are slim).
I'm with you . . . having had a mom who didn't work for my first 8 years and then began working long hours, I missed her tremendously. I know it's not always possible to remain at home fpr financial reasons, but if by chance it is feasible, then my vote is to be there.
Blessings! Bugsy
