Friends Requests notification
Is there a way to stop receiving notifications when a friends request was accepted?

Re: Friends Requests notification
not at this time. This was done intentionally becuz not everyone knows if they have a friend requests notification at the top of the page. So this will make sure they see that they do and to accept or decline as they wish.
If you see it in your pm box, yet already know about the friend request, its easy enuff to just mark it and delete it

I'm not sure we're discussing the same thing. So please bear with me as I try to explain a bit more. I sent friend requests to the new members in April, Then each one accepted I get a notice in my forum messages saying they accepted me as a friend.
I also have it check to get an email when I receive a forum message. I like getting an email notification so I can respond to any forum messages timely. I log in to find, it's just a message saying someone accepted my friends request. This can be frustrating after logging in five times in one day to see who sent a forum message, and finding out it's an automatic notification that says so and so accepted my friends request.
Does that make since?
I don't understand how me receiving a forum notification helps them to see they received a request.
Thank you for your time and God bless you abundantly.

Re: Friends Requests notification
yep Pine it makes sense When you get an email notification of the PM, it always says on the email the subject of the PM. I tested this to make sure that it is indeed working and it is:
If you are not getting the subject title of the PM in your email please let me know Open your email and when it says "You have been approved" you will know that its a friend request

Hello phantomfaith,
You have received a new private message from "test" to your account on
"CHRISTIANITY OASIS MEMBER FORUMS & CHAT ROOMS" with the following subject:
You have been approved
You can view your new message by clicking on the following link:
ucp.php?i=pm&folder=inbox
You have requested that you be notified on this event, remember that you
can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the
appropriate setting in your profile.
If you are not getting the subject title of the PM in your email please let me know Open your email and when it says "You have been approved" you will know that its a friend request

Re: Friends Requests notification
That's an interesting thought. Open up the email and read it.
They always just said I've received a pm. So with the new changes I never thought they'd say something different. Thanks.
