Ha ha!! Not a lot of K words, but finally a situation where one fits!
Been following a lot of your journals...wasn't sure I was up for this, but you all have inspired me. I certainly need to get in the habit of eating healthier, but I would also like to drop a few pounds before I am next in the states..just enough to return to the weight I was when I moved here. So let the journey begin....

Sunday 17 April
11 AM- Apple, Banana, Granola Bar
2:15 PM- Cheese and Chive Chicken Escallop, 5 onion rings, 1 Cup Carrot and Suede
6:20 PM- Mandarin
7:45 PM- 1 Cup of Cereal with Milk
11:30 PM- 4 Crackers with Peanut Butter
1:55 AM- 6 Peanut Butter M&M's
Throughout the Day- 2 Litres of Water

Kimby's Kitchen....I LIKE THAT! Glad we've inspired you kimby. *hugss* I know how tough it is to get on a sensible eating plan. I was doing well at first..then "stuff" came in and totally got me off kilter. I'm taking it day by day now, and am not going to get upset if I go off-track. I pray that you will feel better about what you are eating, knowing that it is healthy for you...You'll start to notice a lot of changes taking place(attitude, sleeping patterns, hair, nails, skin...etc). God Bless you sis!

All good Tam.....nothing about them actually cries, 'I am dinner.' I promise you though...tonight's there will be no doubt

Now...if I can only hold out until dinner!! I work in the one of the worst places possible for trying to 'be good!' If I go upstairs I am surrounded by sweets and to top it off I have to make pizza and brownies for the kids today! Eeek!

Wednesday 20 April
10:30 AM- 1 Cup of Cereal with Milk, 2 Mandarins
12:50 PM- Soup (I have no idea what variety...boss and I raided his wife's kitchen), Tea
3:45 PM- 1/2 Cup Raisins, Lemon Sponge
6:30 PM- Ham and Cheese Chicken Kiev, 5 Onion Rings, 1 Cup Carrots and Suede, Roasted Bell Pepper
9:30 PM- 1 1/2 Brownies, Tea
11:45 PM- Apple
1:00 AM- 1/2 Soda Farl Toasted with Butter
Throughout the Day- 2.5 Litres of Water

I am certainly finding that the accountability of journaling what I eat is helping with the thoughtless snacking that I used to do. It is making me aware which is a good thing. I was surprised today to find that I was hungry at odd times....like an hour after dinner. I cooked a decent size meal...there is no way I should have been hungry. Fortunately I was on my way to church and could ignore it, but had I been sitting home that whole time...I am not so sure. Again as the night has gone on...I had an apple..why an hour later was I hungry again? It was actual hunger too..not sad hungry or anxious hungry or bored hungry. I have heard it said that our bodies are so used to not getting enough water that our brains mistake thirst for hunger, but with the amount of water I have been drinking lately I just don't see how that can be the case here. I don't understand it. Anyone else run into this?

Thursday 21 April
10:45 AM- 1 Cup Cereal with Milk, Plum
12:15 AM- 10 Goldfish Crackers
2:20 PM- 7 Popcorn Chicken Pieces with Gravy, 6 Crackers, Cheese, Coleslaw, Radishes, Cucumber Slices
6:25 PM- Ham and Cheese Chicken Kiev, 4 Onion Rings, Carrot and Suede, Red Peppers and Mushrooms
9:30 PM- Orange Sponge
12:00 PM- 1/2 Soda Farl Toasted with Butter, 1/2 Cup of Raisins
2:15 AM- 6 Peanut Butter M&M'S
Throughout the Day- 4 Litres of Water

I keep thinking I fall apart at night, but I really am not eating any more frequently....hmm. I guess it just feels that way for some reason.
I have noticed that some of my joints that gave me the most trouble have been a bit better the last few days. I don't know if it is just the weather we are having or that I have started drinking an adequate amount of water. Can having enough water even do that? Not sure.

Friday 22 April
10:50 AM- 1 Cup of Cereal with Milk, Banana
1:45 PM- 6 Crackers, Cheese, Radishes, Cucumber Slices, Coleslaw, 1 1/2 Mandarins
4:15 PM- Banana Yogurt
6:30 PM- Smoked Haddock and Vintage Cheddar Fishcake, 4 Onion Rings, Carrot and Suede, Peppers and Mushrooms
9:30 PM- Granola Bar, Gummi Heart
12:30 AM- 1/2 Cup of Raisins
1:30 AM- 1/2 Soda Farl Toasted with Butter
Throughout the Day: 2 Litres of Water

It is getting easier to turn down the sweets when they start to talk to me...but I am starting to wonder at what point is it okay to eat the candy bar. I know in and of themselves they aren't bad, but I think at this moment I would feel guilty if I did buy one and eat it.
