Gods Grace..Gods forgivness. I want so much to have my sins washed away...to be forgiven...but how do I forgive myself? Of course God can forgive, he is God and capable of great things. Its forgiving myself that is difficult. Forgiving myself for not moving my life in the right direction years ago. Forgiving myself for loving selfishly so that anothers pain is overlooked. So yes, I have Gods Forgivness, Why cant I forgive me?

Glad to see you here , and even glad-er to hear you asking the same question I asked myself for the longest time , "Why can't I forgive me ?" .

I mean , with me , it went something like , I "forgave everyone else right ? " "God forgave everyone else as well right ?" , but what about me ? .
Well the truth with me was that , it wasn't as much as why COULDN'T I , but rather , I was asking the question in a wrong context . It wasn't until I learnt that I had to ask Why WOULDN'T I forgive myself , and take a look at the reasons (deeper roots maybe ? ... or maybe just we didn't get a chance to look at it yet ?) , only then I found the answer .

Hi kimsam, well it's because the enemy is still lieing to you and throwing your past in your face....and you are hearing it all....those awful whispers...time to put in the earplugs and let Jesus within you have a talk with that pesky enemy and send him and his lies packing. You are forgiven...and the past is the past...but now it's time to move into the here and now...just where God wants you to be.
