I first wanted to tell you I'm also thankful for you finding this site and coming to be with us here.

This one was inspired by a newer member to our site, nevaeh77.
I just wanted it known who thankful I am for God to have put this site into motion and allow the fantastic group of people that make it happen every day to touch so many lives, I don't want to think of where alot of us would have been in our walk with the Lord AND in life itself had it not been for this site.
With that said I also wish to challenge all members (don't know if I'm allowed to do this but don't see why not) do you make any donations to the site....I am guilty also BUT I want to challenge anyone not making any donations to start, think of when you came here....don't know most of your lives or trials but I know I was at a ALL TIME LOW in my life and between the writings of the counseling pages and all my WONDERFUL BROTHERS and SISTERS lifting me up when I fall I have been lifted back to my feet and on my way back to walking next to our Lord (He stopped a ways up the path and is waiting for me).
So I guess what I'm asking is do you all want your lost fellow brothers and sisters to have the same chance as you to see and feel the wonders of his love through this site, even if it's $5.00 a month it all adds up to amazing love and salvation though this site!!
I know we have alot of members so look at this just $10.00 a month say for a 100 members = $1000
ok I'm climbing off my soap box now LOL

Cuc, thanks for the welcome and encouragement. You said I inspired you too write that. This is just more proof for me how God works. Even before you mentioned challenging everyone I was thinking of making a donation. When the thought first entered my mind, I was thinking I don't have much my lil donation wouldn't help much. Then here you come with this challenge making a good point even 5, 10 a month adds up. I don't have a church I go to, I don't know many Christian people where I live. In the short time I've been on this site I have already been blessed with meeting wonderful people, the studies they have available and I'm sure so much more I have yet to discover. For me that is conformation that God brought me here for a reason, and part of that is to help financially. I too am so thankful for this site.

I too am going to donate friday, after payday because just like you I don't have alot but what I have is all because of Him anyways and He will see that I am provided for, I just had that laid on my heart and got to thinking about it and realized it's not how much as it is how many do it
so from now on I will be making my biweekly tithe to my church AND here because I want everyone else to be able to have the same chance to see God working through this ministry as I did and still do

OK I have 2 more since it seems this is fizzling out
This is one He has REALLY shown me in the last week,
His grace, He has given me and my wife (separated) the ability to be friends and for her to forgive me for my bad ways and get past the wrongs to see that we still as parents provide for our kids as they need and show them not ALL separations are mean and hateful, don't get me wrong we had a moment or 2 that got pretty heated but that to me shows there was something there because we (I) didn't just let it go BUT since then I have realized that it was not meant to be and later if it should rekindle it will be SOLELY due to the Lords will!
And this one I am realizing is coming very QUICKLY,
My first grandson!! my 17 year old daughter is due on the 17th of december....next FRIDAY!! wow!!
But I have noticed she seems to have "forgiven" me also and seems to want me in her and the babies life more than I had thought PRAISE GOD!!!
even though she is not my biological daughter (I am the ONLY Dad she ever knew until after me and the wife separated) (by HER choice) she IS my daughter!!
so this IS my grandchild and to be a part is an AWESOME GIFT FROM GOD!!
SO now there's 2 more of the fantastic gifts He has given me!!

Hi Christnundrconstruxn, what i consider real gifts comes not from this world. The first thing for me would be the gift of Salvation that only Christ has given us, so along with that would be the gift of love. Its a love that never grows old, and its a love that can only be comprehended by a greater revelation by each passing day as we grow closer in our relationship with Him. Its a love that grows within us till its shines through us.

Then there is of course my children, they i love dearly, and sometimes i think the Lord gave them to me to keep my from doing some really idiotic things. Then another real gift is coming to a place of having a few true brothers and sisters in Christ, who is willing to put with ya and never turn away from ya and will always treat you with respect. To me its a reflection of Christ.

Really good idea for a thread Christnundrconstruxn.

Yours is right on with the others, it is about ALL of the gifts He has given us is why I started this post.
I am loving to read ALL the post, I don't know about anyone else but it IS a reminder of ALL the gifts from Him that make this life here more enjoyable waiting for the life He has for ALL of us afterwards.

You are so right, I think the love, forgiveness and understanding we share here at the Oasis is EXACTLY that, a reflection of Christ.

OK I used this one already BUT I am a PROUD GRANDPA!!!!
my oldest gave birth to my first grandchild on her birthday!!
12/21/10 @ 9:40am she gave birth to Rylan James 7lbs 10 oz 20" long
he and his mom are doing great... GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!!
our Lord knew we didn't want her to have to wait until Christmas eve for inducing and He chose to bring Rylan in on the next best day...My daughters BIRTHDAY how awesome is that!!
And I was very worried over my wife's sister not being as forgiving to me as I have been to her over the years of me and my wife's marriage, to the point I almost didn't go to the hospital when I knew she was there because I just didn't want anymore drama but I went anyway and to my surprise she acted VERY nice towards me and all was well...Like I said GOD IS AWESOME!!
So now you all know why you have not seen or heard from me,
if I forgot anything let me know
