took 3 days to complete step 5
I became a bit overwhelmed with day to day stuff and it took me three days to finish reading step 5. I can't seem to bite my tongue when it comes to my husband. I guess I have not forgiven him for turning his back on me.
I went to church today for a change and as usual we drove separately. when he noticed me at the end of the service he walked right pass me to greet someone else. That really got me upset but I did not mention it. I am trying not to respond to his negative actions. Not reacting is soooooo hard for me to do since it hurts me really bad the way he treats me. This marriage is probably only in my mind. He left over a year ago. Only his physical body is present, we no longer sleep in the same bed. I do not even know if I love him because I am so angry at the fact that he do not love me. How messed up is that. How selfish is that. I will try to keep my focus on god. Please pray for me and thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Im standing in prayer with you....and for your husband. You gotta let the anger go, though. Either way, decide to forgive and pray for your husband. Keep goin through the steps, sis. God's perfect will be done in this. I know how hard it is to stay silent in these times...let the Lord use this time to work in you. Theres a time to stay silent and a time not to. Let the Lord search your heart and speak to your husband in love. Love isnt always a feeling, its a decision. Keep goin...and know you arent alone. Have you read the Love Dare?

Tenaj my heart aches over this marriage and the pain I feel with in your words.
I praise God that despite your hurt you are still seeking God and working on being who He asks you to be.
The tongue in my opinion is the hardest thing to tame. Keep working on it. Don't give up. They say practice makes perfect. Well I don't know if anyone can be perfect in what they say or don't say as we are all imperfect and need Jesus, but practice will help you get better. I remember the days when my tongue was allowed to spout off anything I wished with much emotion behind it. Even anger. I hurt many with it. Making that change can seem like there's no hope. There truly is hope. Continue to talk to God and ask Him for help.
Praying for you and him.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hey pine I would like to add to what you were saying about the tongue,
my Pastor said this and it really hit home because I too spout off and hurt when I was angry and then regretted what I had said later.
"the tongue is the only instrument that gets sharper with use"
and
"faith and love is like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets"
God bless

I am praying for you knowing how you must be hurting. BUT ignoring each other will never solve this problem. I think the steps will help you have a closer walk with God....but the scriptures also say (1 Peter 3:7) Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
