examining some of the Spiritual depths

Hello Everyone :)

God bless you this day.

You know one of the times Jesus slipped away into a mountain -- He and His disciples -- and He would reveal deeper Spiritual meanings of The Law and the principles of God? Such a case is recorded in Matthew Chapter 5.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

I remember the first time I read that...WHOA!!! Gosh, is there any hope for us? Is there any hope for me? Thoughts bombard me.

Recently when reading scriptures in conjunction to The End Times, and The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the deeper Spiritual implications of...

Matthew 24:48-51
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

You see, I'm not a physically violent person. I don't strike a person, physically; however, what if I'm thinking ungodly thoughts about a person or person(s), and maybe hanging on to the thoughts for too long and withholding repentence for a few hours, just because my carnal mind defaults that way. You know, those times when it kinda feels good, in some perverse way, just to rehash that stuff...and besides, they hurt my feelings, and I didn't do a thing to them. What if my Lord returned at that very moment, while I was harboring those thoughts, playing them over and over like a new CD?

Would I hear Him?

I think about that a lot. He helps me with reminders... blessed nudges.

Thank You Holy Spirit.

There is an old song called "Have I stayed too long at the fair" -- one of the people who recorded it was Barbara Streisand. Interesting song, and even more interesting when The Holy Spirit listens with me.

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

Good question and very thought provoking message.
