Step 9 and 10.
Oh my. Changing your lifestyle and praying. I felt so sure of purpose yesterday and well, today I am still sure of purpose, but it is in the exact opposite direction. I was feeling yesterday that as hard as I was trying, Satan was still trying to defeat me. Now today I feel as if it wasnt really Satan, but God, giving me signs that I just could not accept and hence this was where my confusion and doubt was stemming from. I didnt want to believe that his purpose for me was not what I was hoping for. After listening to a message on my husbands phone last night of another woman stating she loved him, how can I ignore this sign and try to justify it?? Is God tellign me I need to let him go?? There is no justifying why a strange woman tells anothers husbands that she loves him. There cannot be more than 2 people in a marriage. I have felt an uneasiness in the things he has said to me, but justified them incorrectly as a way to make them ok and allow me to believe this marriage could be saved. Then last night the message. I am so lost and alone. Yet, I feel a sense of relief when I contemplate a future that is not filled with fear of being betrayed or trying to cope with suspicions and paranoia that cripple me.

anne marie I am so sorry this is happening to you...as one who was betrayed deeply by her ex husband I can relate to just how you are feeling and the denial you may have had towards the possibility of their being such an action from your husband. I encourage you to pray and meditate with God to see what direction He is leading you in your marriage...it is by God's strength that you will get past this.
Prayers for you, your marriage and hubby.

Step 11
Inviting the Holy Spirit inside me and asking Him to guide me.
I am very willing to do this. I hope I will hear His voice.
I am now accepting of the fact that I will continue to move through these steps and beyond for the purpose of making myself a stronger and better person. I wish to be closer to God and possibly better understand his ways and which direction he would like me to go in. He has blessed me so and I am grateful.
I am using the skills taught to me through these steps and find them extremely helpful. They allow me to cope and move forward.
Thank you all for your kind words.

Dearest Annie Marie:
"Lost" are all those who practice betrayal, and "alone" are all those spouses without regards for the Savior.
You are neither lost nor alone, for the Lord Jesus promised He would never leave you nor foresake you; He promised that the Spirit of God would lead you to all truth. Your Lord and Savior promised that He would return so that where He is you shall be there also. Praise the Lord!
Yes, dearest, betrayal hurts; a ton it hurts because the loyal heart seems broken into so many sweet pieces, and who is there to gentley collect the pieces to mend that heart again? Well, praise the Lord, for faithful and true is He who calls you and wants all of your heart regardless of where those pieces of a broken heart have landed; the Lord Jesus can and will mend a broken heart!!
As my father would say, "If your problem doesn't have a solution, why do you worry? And if your problem has a solution, why do you worry?"
May my Lord and Savior Jesus be your continual solution as He is mine. Stay ever nearer to the Lord and you shall alway, forever know where home is. The Lord loves you sweetly!

Hello Anne Marie
God bless you this day.
I can honestly testify that getting to know The Holy Spirit and how He works in our life, changed mine dramatically. Acknowledging God is so very key -- acknowledging Him and talking to Him.
(Jesus speaking) John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent.
I highlighted "life eternal" because sometimes we don't receive something when it's written differently. Eternal Life!!! Cool!!!
John 16:7-16 (Jesus speaking)
7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
Anne Marie, you will hear Him. Believe only.
You continue in my prayers to our Lord, in the name of Jesus. God's blessed will be done.
God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughtfulness and support. It isnt just the steps that are helping me to cope, but all of you. I look forward to your encouraging and loving words. The Lord is surely proud of each of you to assist one who is downtrodden in grief.
Though I had a very difficult weekend(no contact for 6 days after 25 years), my new ability to speak and pray to God was helpful. I begged God, in the name of Jesus, to hear my prayers and help ease my pain. Would you lilke to hear of the mysterious ways of God??? My husband could not text me or call me(ashamed, but I have to admit, I broke his cell) all week. So I therefore did not have to resist the temptation to respond to him. On Saturday he purchased a new cell and mine ran out of minutes!!!! haha-he still cant get calls or texts through. He is very unhappy with no contact. I wonder, is God working through me to reach my husband??
It is such a painful thing, no contact. But I know I have no choice. Let His will be done.

Step 12
Falling Down and Getting Back Up!!!
What a comfort to read this step today. I am expecting to see my husband tonight and it is odd to me that this step also states to resist temptation. In the form of the devil. oh boy.
I feel so strengthened through these steps. Confused at times, but always strengthened. The Lord is my shepard.
I am always falling down lately, but thanks to my faith, I am always getting back up. But now, I am getting wiser.
I cant wait to start repeating the steps again. I know I will only benefit. I want to do them again and again.
Onward!!!
Thank you all sooooo much again.
Peace
