I went to a support group meeting some time ago.
There was new parent who spend a lot of time explaing thier child's disabilities.
There were many other parents there who offered a variety of suggestions.
This new and frantic parent kept saying to every suggestions,
"But.." But this and But that. Crying and whineing at every chance to
whoever would listen. Finally the facilitator of the group said,

"I sympathize with everything you are experiencing. I have a twenty
six year old son with CP and Autism. I've been through everything
you've mentioned and then some. So it is with a full heart of love
and understanding that I say this to you. There have been many good
suggestions made here this evening. Several of them will serve your
child's situations well. There is just one thing you need to do.
Get Your Big...But!... out of the way, Timothy!"
