Why?

Postby sbennett » Thu Oct 07, 2010 5:57 pm

Today someone said something to hurt my feelings....on purpose. This is someone I really don't need in my life anymore ... but they were supposed to care about me, always, no matter what. I guess God is trying to show me how many lies I let myself believe the past year. I HATE the hurting part of this. I could get over things and move on if it just would not hurt so much. Also....why try to hurt me??? UGH!! I just don't understand.

You know sbennett , it is an unjust (and, at times , downright aggravating) situation to be in , when someone decides to jab their index finger right to your chest ... Just because they feel like it , and you know , there are a lot of those out there too , who , out of nowhere they blurt out stuff that does no one absolutely no good and proves anything to anybody . The reason(s) of why they do that ? Well , who knows and in actuality , who cares , the only thing we can do is to make a choice as to how much are we to allow someone else's action(s) effect my day and time . Sure , we do get angry , disappointed and discouraged , but the final word is still in our ball-park . We need to ask ourselves "why am I letting this individual get the best of me , and how much are they worth ? "

The anger is ours to deal with , no matter what others are doing , the bottom line is , I am the one who is getting angry and I need to deal with my "anger" , aggravation or what have you .

Only sharing my experience , the way I dealt with it , and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to be of service .

In Christ , our Lord

Someone once said hurting people hurt people

If this other person wasn't miserable inside she/he would be spreading joy and love and peace instead of destruction.

Pray for them. Bless them.

Kinda hard at times. We wanna get even. We want answers to our questions, what did I do to deserve this and why me, why again. But those questions get us no where do they. :) Just more time rolling around the bad junk instead of moving on to better things.

Now when someone hurts me...you come tell me what I just said. k? :) Cause I do the same at times. We just wanna be loved.

And I do love you *hug* Jesus does to!
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

sbennett...People hurting our feeling on purpose is very hard to swallow. When you realize it it is like a wake up call huh. You said
This is someone I really don't need in my life anymore
can I ask why you are hanging around for this abuse? Yes it is hard to let someone go that you thought was a friend..but sometimes for our benefit we have to move forward. Pray for them and bless them like Pine said, but move on. I believe that friend will be replaced with a Godly friend.
It hurts and you wonder why, but that is one question we may never know the answer to. Now that you have realized this...it is time to forgive and move on. Let God minister His love to your heart. Oh yeah don't forget to forgive yourself!

You are doing so good. You keep pressing in toward Jesus .
Prayers are with you .
