Day 9 the path

Postby sbennett » Thu Sep 30, 2010 12:54 am

*Pray* My days just are crazy sometimes. So good and then BAM can turn ugly. Husband hurt my feelings and when I tried to tell him about it he got mad (because he hates to feel guilty) and so it became this big thing. We have both been so positive and supportive lately and tonight just was a bummer. BUT I am praying and God is calming me. Tomorrow is another day and I know it will be ok.

Today my path talked about filling my life with Godly things...about forming good habits and getting rid of bad. I have a lot of bad habits...I hate them. I learned when I pull the weeds in my garden it leaves a void and I have to fill it with god stuff. I am working on that. I do believe you become what you surround yourself with. I had surrounded myself with false love and negative things. Now I am trying to surround myself with truth. I am really evaluating my lifestyle. I pray that God will help me get rid of the bad and replace it with good.

AND ...I found a perfect song for me. Its by Sanctus Real and called "The Reedemer". The words so fit exactly how I feel right now in my life. I keep singing it over and over to get it stuck in my head! LOL!!

Sometimes it's best to take a step back when our feelings get hurt and allow forgiveness in our own heart to take over before we say something to another...and sometimes it's just best to forgive and let go instead of saying something...I wonder how many times we hurt God, and He forgives and lets it go without dragging it before us.

Keep seeking the things of the Lord...these are the things that will fill the void of Life forever.

luv ya

Keep singing sis. :) I love the way a song can minister so much to us at different times.

Did you say good morning to the Holy Spirit when you woke this morning? :)

Love you much! *hug*

My husband is like that too...the more I try to explain, the more he gets mad or dismisses it as not important, so I have to either forget it or talk to him later. He does it more when he is tired and doesn't realize it.

Yes! Fill in the void with good so the bad can't come back!
Glad you found a song that fits. You will find a different one as time goes on.
