Will B. - Completed Stepping Stones - Repeating

Postby Guest » Wed Sep 22, 2010 11:20 am

I have found that there is a great difference between the person I thought I was and the person I really am/was. The most important part of the lesson for me is hearing (communicating with) the Holy Spirit. Resting in him. I never really understood how to do that.

I am taking the Holy Spirit lesson steps.

But, I really feel that I need to take the Stepping Stones again. I feel that if I want to change, I need to get this beginning right.

Today I was in the God's Grace step. This time reading through felt better. A calmness is how I describe it.

I'm trying to listen to Christian Music when I can and now I speak directly to the Holy Spirit asking him to help me get to know him better.

The situation with my wife was temporarily worse over the weekend because I did something very bone-headed trying to convince my wife to change her job. Little did I realize, she had set her sights higher. And that she was acting from a deeper faith (relationship) with God than I have ever had. All I can do now is stay out of her way and let God work through her to correct MANY wrongs in her workplace. She forgave me yet again. We have a bit of a space between us because of all the events of the last few months. But, for a change, I HAVE to allow GOD to work in this situation. I have to take my mind and my hands off of it. I have to let go.

Will B. hello again, glad to see that you are allowing God to finally take the reigns...and I also see your relationship with Him deepening. I think so often we just want to have our hands into everything as we are afraid that God will make a mess of our life...when in reality that is a lie of the enemy and God will make it better. Now that doesn't mean we won't face trials...it just means we can have peace in the midst of the trials...hmmm I think I'm talking to myself on that one today as well...as my day has been one thing after another...and I am starting to loose my own focus on God...sorry got side tracked there...but I think today's lesson is as much for me as it is for you today...thanks for sharing.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

I like to describe listening to Holy Spirit as like your conscience but stronger if that helps *BigGrin*
It is better to light a candle then curse the darkness *lost*
