Christianity Oasis Forum

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Life is so much better since I put on the blocker! God and I are now handling some other things, since my focus isn't on whether I'll fall or not. I mean, I may still stumble, but it will take a little more work now!

It's amazing how when you are finally able to protect yourself from temptation you can begin focusing on other things in you that needs to be worked one...taking them one at a time...letting God mold you into what He wants you to be.

So happy for you.

luv ya

So far, a good week. Wife and I are starting a new diet, as if I need another source of temptations! *laughter*

Awww the good ol' fashioned diet....it will be good for you and the wife to do this together...will strengthen you together....add some exercise to that diet and you will find some energy there as well.

We do exercise already...in fact, we met at the gym. And, we've always eaten fairly healthy...we've just never paid attention to portions, or things like that. So far, with two days done, I'm not doing too bad...I've only strayed a teensy bit...literally, a teensy bit, like a teaspoon or a tablespoon of something I'm not supposed to have.
I really want to stick with this, though, because my wife really wants to stick with it. Please pray that I would have the strength to stick with the plan.

I will be praying...and asking God to help you stick to the diet...as it will help you become in better shape physically and help you to feel better.

Have a delightful day with Jesus.

So far, so good on the diet, the computer, everything...God is good! How can I be praying for everyone else?
