Christianity Oasis Forum

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

The Harmony of Faith and Grace

Postby saint701 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 11:04 am

Hello All,

Rom.5
[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
[2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The harmony that exists in the Kingdom of Heaven can seem impossibly difficult to come by in the world in which we live physically. That is why I am always so thankful when I walk into a church building and find the atmosphere so rich with love I can't help but sit down and drown myself in it. Such services lead to the singing of high praises to the Father at some point, and I am always amazed at the harmony that exists among us all as we each lift up our voices in different love notes. Our melodious sounds blend together so beautifully and wonderfully one can almost see them rise as a cloud of glory to our Heavenly Dad.

We are at church because we have faith in God. We know that there we are in Him and have our being. We meet Him there in a wondrous way more often than anywhere else, and it is there He extends His grace to us more richly than "most" anywhere else. For how often have we entered into fellowship with each other and God in church when we have felt beaten down, sinful, sad, forlorn, and needy, when such services have sent us away feeling clean and happy, free from guilt and the trappings of the world?

At such times faith and grace have blended harmoniously in the presence of the Kingdom of Heaven. The problem with faith and grace that seems to perplex us elsewhere is lived out before us with such harmony and ease we can only leave amazed.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
