Christianity Oasis Forum

This forum is for those who are 18 years of age or older. This forum is a sanctuary for those who are experiencing trials and tribulation and seek words of wisdom, comfort and TRUTH from fellow Christians who have experienced similar trials and tribulation and have overcome them. Never forget that we ALL fall down as we sojourn down this Christian Walk. The trick is to get up and carry on fighting the good fight of FAITH. One of the greatest gifts that our Father gave to Christians is ... Fellow Christians. James 5:16 ... Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much ...

Feeling encouraged!

I started the Oasis path about a week ago, and have been encouraged so much by the content of the studies. It really speaks to me on my level most of the time. I have done well to just study one step per day even when tempted to continue on and on...But I have failed to journal as I should, on line anyway. I did start a journal at home and have printed the lessons off so that I may reread the past steps and/or review them each day before moving on to the next step. Much like when I read the Word, I find a new message or "little nugget of truth" for me each time I read, it seems. Praise the Lord!! Isn't God wonderful, how He speaks to us, each one individually, where we are at, directly to our needs. I so long to be close to my Lord as I once was. I allowed myself to become hurt, disillusioned, overwhelmed and drawn away from Him by cares and concerns in this world. I was betrayed and crushed by a dear friend, my life was rocked in every way down to its very foundation (which is my faith in Him) by this betrayal, health crisis, near financial ruin and testing of the strength of my marriage. Instead of running to Him and seeking refuge under His wings, I tried to work it out myself all the while telling myself that I was giving Him His rightful place. Anyway, I am not sure that anyone will be able to make sense of this post or get any benefit from it, but I just wanted to try to begin journaling more, sharing my story, and seeking His healing and guidance so that I might serve Him more fully and glorify Him with all my being! Thank you to those who read my prior post and took the time to respond, I found your words like balm to my spirit. And thank you as well to those who have included me in your prayers, I ask that you please continue, I definitely need prayer and healing and I am so ready for the Lord to flll me, I am ready to Let Go and Let God!!! Who's with me? In Christian Love to you all, Calliopie

Hello Calliope

Glad to have you with us aboard the Oasis , sorry missed the opportunity to welcome you , but .. here we are right ?

Looking forward to read more of your daily walk , whether it be smooth or rocky , hoping for smooth anyway , but that wouldn't be too rational of thinking as of yet right ? But Calliope , this I do promise you , I will be reading a smoother side by the end of this journey .

In Christ , our Lord
