Fibromyalgia
Hi, Everyone!
Just getting my 2 cents in on a topic near to my body
Having fibromyalgia I was once told is having the "everything hurts disease." That's about it, allright. But there are other things that go along with it. Depression is one of them. Feeling out of control.
Docs can give meds for pain, for those of us who can take them, but on other things they have no clue. And some don't even believe it exists.
What are some of the experiences you've had with "fibro? Encouragements and stories really help, especially for those of us who can hardly get out of bed.

Hi Sylvia
Blessings to you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
My husband has had firbromyalgia for years and indeed suffers a lot of pain from it, an everyday thing. I think sometimes for him it's the pain that can be discouraging at times having to deal with that everyday. The medications do not always give the relief from the pain that he needs. Being that he also has other physical disabilities it tends to limit what exercise he is able to do in order to get the exercise he needs to keep his weight down because he is also diabetic. Thankfully I have not noticed him going through bouts of depression or feeling out of control, but again fibromyalgia can affect everyone a little different. I think for him though it seems when he can keeps his weight down and rides his bike or walks this helps to keep his body mobile as well as reducing some of the pain.
I so agree too that some doctors think the pain etc.... from fibromyalgia are all in your head but there is a test to prove it so they can no longer deny it.
May I also pass this on to you see what you think. It is said that a lot of times certain diseases may be triggered by emotional traumas in our lives, hurtful situations we have encountered.
What are you thoughts on this?
I know for my husband not only has he had 3 bike accidents going back to when he was a child, and a major one 3 or 4 years ago when he suffered a spinal injury to his neck, but he has also faced many emotional traumas in his life, which is at times responsible for the anger he seems to have bottled up inside of him still. I do believe as God heals our inner man that physical symptoms go as well, depending on what the condition is. I do believe God can heal our bodies whatever the infirmity. This is what we pray and look for. Amen! I pray the Lord strengthens you daily with His Word not only in your spirit man but also in your physical body.
Be strengthened in Him, I will keep you in prayer, God bless you.
I hope you don't mind me responding to you even though I don't suffer with firbromyalgia just thought I would let you know you are not alone.
Blessings to you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

nerves being pinched, yea the the doctor and my therapist told me that to the other day..considering to sharpness pain and numbness. Maybe my case was different. But i know it can be stressful for the fact that u ve to deal and experienced it everyday. yea, the medication or the painkiller didnt really helps. They gave me injection as they told me that the best they can do for my condition. For now, many thanks to God. There some improvement after the injection. The pain is decreased and the discomfort is less from prolong sitting..except when its rain and cold. Only that it wud started to sore or the twisting feel. I guess maybe cuz of the metal inside get colder than my skin. Thank you sylvia, changed for sharing. There i know im not alone.

Thanks, everyone for the comments and support! JC, sweetlittleangel, changed forever-
Yes. Right now I'm obviously on my comp. Had to lay down as I had done too much housework, and now I'm paying for it.
The burning pain below the shoulder blades, the back, the neck - you who have it, or have someone close to you who has it, you know the feeling.
God keeps me on an even keel, when I remember to ask Him
He has let me have a situation where I can lay down when it gets to that point. And a very understanding husband!
Would you please pray for us right now-no insurance, my husband lost his job this week, so no meds for awhile. He's bumbed out, as you can understand. He needs to trust and lean on our Saviour instead of trying to do it himself.
Thanks a bunch,
Sylvia49

Pray'n to the Lord for you, and for all our other "fibros."
Submission is the only way I can cope. He knows our needs before we do, and is always there to help us through. Without Him, life is not living, it's only surviving.
Love this forum; even if I don't post, reading is theraputic, and uplifting!

Hi, Kess!
Kess, I notice, too, that when the weather turns sour my fibro acts up. There can be many other symptoms along with the fibro that come from other deseases. Do you have any of these other symptoms?
I also have Sjogrens, which was diagnosed at the same time as the fibro. It is more than just glandular; it can cause depression, vertigo and other things that weren't mentioned in the article.
Put the fibro and the Sjogrens together and you have one big problem. But if you have other symptoms - oh, how I wish there was a cure!
Saw this on my email and wanted to tell you I was thinking of you.
GBU, Kess,
Sylvia
