bloodstone,
I do believe that freedom requires a journey before you get there. If you are familiar with the story of Exodus, you will see that the Israelites took 40 years to make an 11 day journey. There were lessons they had to learn, struggles they had to endure, all so that they would be stronger in the end, and so that they would truly learn to depend upon God for their needs.
There are people struggling with various addictions, who want soooo badly to be free of it, and like you, God knows their hearts and hears their cries. But as much as He loves us and wants to see us free, He will allow us to travel the path that leads to freedom, as to just hand it to us would actually be depriving us of precious lessons that will help us to STAY free and not easily fall back into bondage when we reach our destination.
Keep your eyes focused, what you seek is within your reach. You just have to travel that path that leads to it. Even the stumbles along the way are opportunities to learn and grow.
