How far I see compassion reach....an employee here at work was diagnosed with melanoma about 2 weeks ago and had surgery this week to have his ear removed. Our members felt the need to help this man and his family as he has been an employee here for 14 years. Last night we held a benefit dinner at work...and a substantial amount of money was raised...way beyond what we ever imagined...to help this man with expenses. The compassion and hearts of these people I work for brings me to tears....they care so very much..

Thank you Lord for the opportunity to work for such loving and compassionate people who went above and beyond when they saw someone in need. I see you Lord in these souls here. I Praise you Lord and ask your healing for Tommie. May your will be done.

Lots of thoughts today...ever watch a dog chase it's tail? Going round and round but never getting it....after a minute or two of watching this...one tends to become weary of watching...but what if one sits and watches the dog do this for hours...days...months...or years....one not only becomes weary..they tire of watching the endlessness of going nowhere...but what is more...what if one has tried to turn the dog away from their tail by offering them the Best Treats...yet they still refuse to stop chasing their tail...gets old in a hurry...to the point..one stops offering the dog treats...and eventually just walks away from watching...and decides that when that dog decides it would prefer the treat over the never going anywhere...they will be there to feed the dog...but otherwise they cannot allow the dog to hurt them by knowing they can't force the dog to choose the treat over chasing it's tail....and all the while knowing the dog will starve to death...

Next thought....

Looking through a window...seeing all...wondering if the person on the other side of the window can see them back...or maybe they see...but don't indicate they can see...for whatever reason...so one sits at the window...nose pressed to the glass as hard as they can...just wishing they were noticed...so one can wave and smile at another...in hopes of letting the other know they are seen.

Next thought....

All the flowers are blooming...but the flower one wants to bloom seems as if it's not going to bloom...does one sit and wait patiently? or does one find another bloom to want instead?

It stormed here last night...woke up with neighbor's tree down in my front yard and part of my patio cover missing....need to check my roof to make sure shingles aren't loose.....was not fun...I don't like storms to begin with...I was awoken last night around 1:30 AM...was thundering just a little at that time...turned on tv and saw tornado warnings...and they kept saying it was headed my way...so I grabbed nene and we headed for the hallway with the dogs....then power went out...no more tv updates...so we sat and waited...when storm came through I began to pray...asking God to take care of us...of course I kept hearing all the things flying around outside...and the tree falling and the wind sounded like it was going to take the roof off the house...but inside I knew we were safe...I knew God would take care of nene and I...and so we just sat it out...and what was so interesting...nene slept through it all...Holy Spirit brought us peace..my dogs of course were a nervous wreck...and my boxer...mr I gotta check this all out...was running all over the house...I kept fussing at him to sit...cuz he was making me nervous...just watching him...but all in all I praise the Lord that He watched over nene and I...and the damage is minor in comparison...Yippeee! God is good.

Excitement is rampant today...Holy Spirit is about to move in a big way...and I'm just so excited to be a part of His plans. Thank you Jesus!

Fight the good fight of Faith...

The enemy is messing with my mind...trying to plant lies...I get past one...and then another whisper comes...

I know why he's after me...I just want him to stop...

Not doing well today :(

Don't feel like such a good soldier today....and God is speaking to me this morning...He knows I'm entangled in the affairs of this life...oh but to break free....

II Timothy 2:1-7
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

Things have been a small bit better today...but a bit worse in some areas. Just got to give these things to God...letting Him take control...let go and let God..easier said than done.

And the waves after the storm bring peace and calmness. Thanks to the many prayers of others...what a blessing it is to know others are lifting you in prayer...and to be able to make your requests before the Lord...knowing others are in agreeance...such power in prayer...
