Day 2

Postby michellelynn » Tue Apr 27, 2010 5:39 am

As I start my Day 2 I realize, I have alot of weeding to do. I still have allot of fear, and anger in me.

Fear of the unknown, fear of being alone, fear of never finding love again. Anger from a past marriage from years ago. Anger from his infidelity breaking our marriage up, still exists. I think I conquer it and every so often it comes back and I am angry again at him when I have to talk to him about something. I worked hard on forgiveness and feel in my heart I have forgiven him, however, I cant imagine where else the anger can be coming from.

I want to be happy and find that I am not. I have healthy adult children and teenage children, have a home I work hard for. I don't have money, or live a lavish life but enjoy what I have. So why am I not happy? Where is that light that is supposed to shine every day when I wake up? I am hoping wit this program and weeding, I can find that happiness.
Live Life the Best you can today. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come.

Hello Michelle and welcome to Oasis. *Wave*

I will be praying for you. May you find this joy you are seeking. You're on the right path.

Fear is from the enemy. Usually there's no reason to fear. I think many of us struggle with fear. Trusting God when those fears come knocking will bring peace. :) Hard to do. It gets easier with each battle won.

God loves ya and so do I!
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hi MIchelle and Welcome to Oasis.

Sis allow me to start out by saying that you are not here by mistake. You here for a devine purpose.
Fear is such a horrible thing that grips us and is hard to get away from. But it is possible to move away from fear. Fath cast out fear. You are working on weeding your garden so take it one day at a time. WHen the fear arises say to yourself that God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power ,love and a sound mind.
Happiness I do believe you will begin to find as you journey through these steps. Purpose in your heart that you are going to be happy. As you feel yourself getting sad and down ...look for the good...
I will be praying that God would show you exactly what it is that you need to do to be happy.
Keep pressing in sis. You can do this.
Even in the hardest of times...He is there holding our hand

Hello to our new family member,
and welcome with open arms!
It is hard to look away from our past and turn our sights to the future that God has for us when it seems that the the past is always attacking us from behind.

I want to share with you some things that I read in the forums last night and it has really helped me. I hope it will do the same for you.

And Follower of Jesus if you read this hope you don't mind that I used it here?
And hopefully I got it right?

"Creaseless activity is not God's plan for your life. Times of withdrawal for renewed strength are always necessary. Wait for the faintest tremor of fear and stop all work, everything, and rest before God until you are strong again. Deal in the same way with all tired feelings. Then you need rest of the body and renewal of your spirit force"

The verse that was give is:
Phil 4:13
I can do all things through him that strengthens me.

"This does not mean that you are to do all things and then rely on God to find strength. It means that you are to do the things you believe God wants you to do and only then can you rely on His supply of power."

As for me I have spend days and days fretting and fighting and struggling trying to find answers to all the problems and questions in my head and the things around me. I get fearful, from listening to the thoughts that tell me it is not going to work and God will not come through this time. Even though he as come through every time before with out fail. And more fear is added when I listen to those around me that confirms I am in a world of trouble. Fear will wear you out. fighting with fear is worse than running a 20 mile marathon and run through a gullet from there.
And we become so worn out mentally that we have no strength at all and wonder where God has been in all of this?
We begin to feel let down that he has not keep his word to strengthen us to do all things.
but, we are doing things backward. We jump into the fight and get beat up and torn down and then run to God. when we should first prepare for battle: Get before him before we take on our thoughts and problems of our daily life. Then we have the strength to move in the day with the strength to overcome. Another point that was made was the body needs rest it very important that mind, body and spirit must be rested and renewed.
If our mind is tired our body will be tired and so it will effect our spiritual well being as well. So when you get the first signs of fear stop and rest.
If the body is tired take a cat nap and ask the Holy Spirit to minister to you while you rest.
If the mind is bombarding you with thoughts of the past and so on. There is a place here in the forum cccc where you can go to listen to christian music relax and enjoy the music.
If your spirit does not seem to be responding then you need to feed the spirit with the word of God. Just find one small verse that draws you and think on it for awhile until you feel your spirit responding and then get up and do what ever you believe God is wanting to you do.

I hope in some way this helped you I too am learning and growing as I go through these steps.
Let me encourage to keep pulling those weeds. Even if you feel alittle afraid of what these steps bring up. I know for a fact that if you will plow through you will find at the end that God loves you and he has always had your best interest at heart.

Hello again Michellelynn :)

I too have suffered from a marriage where he was unfaithful...took me a long time to forgive...many years in fact....but my unforgiveness was not hurting anyone but me...it was holding me chained to the past...not allowing me to be where God wanted me to be...so I began working on releasing the anger and the unforgiveness...and was finally able to do so...and freedom tasted so sweet. You can have that say freedom sis...with God all things are possible....grab hold...and allow God to work within you.

Praying for you.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
