Day 11
I'm not sure what to think about this step. I mean, my church has always taught that the Holy Spirit isnt there unless you speak in tongues at least once. So I have thought all these years the Holy Spirit doesn't like me. I felt rejected by Him because I have never spoke in tongues like my church family. I can't explain the pain that brings to think you have been rejected by God. But this is a new day, these steps have been bringing me closer to God. These steps have helped me to see what are weeds in my garden and lies from the enemy. I know God has not rejected me now. So I am going to take this step and after I finish this journal entry, I am going to introduce myself to the Holy Spirit, because I want to know Him. I want my spirit and His Spirit to be one, always and forever. I am very excited about getting to know God, all about Him.
I am so thankful God led me here. I am so thankful for each and everyone of you all. God bless you.

awww my sister...I'm sorry that you have been mislead by thinking that since you have never spoken in tongues that you are not filled with the Holy Spirit...I do not have the gift of speaking in tongues either....but that doesn't mean that He isn't with me or you...we have been bestowed with other gifts instead which is great...because He knows the best gifts to give us.
Bloodstone...since you have started the steps..I have seen peace come over you...in a great way. You are growing and moving forward and you should know that God is smiling on you. He loves you very much.
Keep with it sis...you are doing great!
luv ya

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

awww, sis...thats exactly what my heart felt for you..as mlg has said.
sis, the Holy Spirit came into you the minute you asked Christ into your life. The bible is clear...not all will speak in tongues...some will prophecy..some will teach...many many different administrations..and God gives you the gifts He will use in you for His glory. Check this out...
1 Corinthians 12
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
and...
1 Corinthians 14:5
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Sis, read the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians..and 2, too. dig deep into His word, sis..and test all things you are told against the word of God. Also, when you have finished here there is a 7 day study on the Holy Spirit that will help you get to know Him. There is also the study on Many called, few chosen..which will help you identify the gifts the Lord has given you. Keep going, sis...it is ALL for His glory.
God bless you, sis.
in Jesus,
