Day 5

Postby chelle585 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 6:38 am

Wow deep stuff. Honestly i had no idea where to start. Under the list of problems i probably could have gone to half of the topics. I choose loneliness because i feel that is the area of my biggest struggle, has been as far back as i can remember.

I dont remember much of my childhood, but have always remembered being about 5 and laying on my bed crying--because nobody loved me. As i said i have always felt lonely, not for lack of company, i am the youngest of 10 children. But we never talked to one another really except to tease and torment each other.

There are days i still feel like laying on my bed and crying, I know in my head that there are people who do care about me but it is really tough to sell my heart on that.

My prayer today is that God would teach me to receive love, by first teaching me to receive His love for me. You see, i do believe He loves me, because He is good and He loves everyone. Whats hard for me to swallow is that He loves me for who i am.

Hey chelle, that first part you shared reminds me of being in a room full of people but feeling as if you are the only one in the room. Loneliness doesn't come from being alone...it comes from feeling like you are alone. But...you know the way from those feelings and that is to be loved and cared for by Jesus. Accepting His love...will for sure bring about a huge step in the healing process for you.

Sometimes we try and rationalize God and why He loves us or why we think He shouldn't...but truly God is God and what He does...many times we can't comprehend...nor do we really need to...we just need to accept what He offers and leave the why's and how's to Him. One day the answers will be revealed when we get to see Him face to face...but for now we take a step out in Faith and grab on to what He is handing to us...love and forgiveness...it's yours for the taking sis.

You are doing very well with the steps sis...keep it up!

luv ya *hug*
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Good morning chelle..God bless you sis..

Sister, God is God, and we are not. We cant understand the depths of His love because that IS just who He is. He is love. He defines love. His love is perfect and the love we know from the world is conditional, imperfect and really isnt love at all. We've been taught by imperfect people that love is about what you get from people..if you are sweet enough, you are loved..if you are good enough, you are loved. if you are pretty, you are loved. if you do things well, you are loved. You came from a large family of imperfect people who were influenced by the same enemy we are all influenced by. The lies are beginning to be planted the day you start understanding what the world defines as love...which is the day you are born.

God IS love. His love is unconditional and can't be earned. Since He created you the way He wanted you, He loves you..and you are beautiful to Him. No amount of work can change His love for you. No amount of perfection can make Him love you more, because He knows we will never be perfect as long as we are in this earth. His kind of love asks for nothing in return, but once you learn to live loved, you are changed from within and your faith in His love for you and in you changes your goals, your outlook....and you begin to do things for Him..for His children who dont feel loved..because you know they are now and you want them to know they are loved too. His love is pure and perfect because that is just the way He is..and we arent.

If you havent read The Shack, get it and read it and ask the Lord to show you. If you've read it, read it again and ask Him to show you.

The bible is all about Jesus...He loves YOU so much He died for you..and would do it again if He had to for just you alone.

God bless you, sis. time to learn to live loved, because you are..then you dont feel lonely.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

Chelle :)

Good to hear you say you know God loves you. Now just getting it in your heart. Can feel like a long distance to go from the head to the heart. Keep asking him to reveal his love for you and ask him to help you accept it.

*hug5*

Praying for you.
God does love you and so do I!
