Day 3

Forgiveness, letting go....tough stuff. I'm not sure where even to begin with this. I have recently been able to forgive those who sexually abused me and that was so freeing. I still have alot of issues with my mom that i need to release. Probably the hardest thing for me to do is forgive myself though. Holy Spirit, show me those things I need to surrender and give me the grace to do so.

Amen

You already know how freeing forgiveness can be...don't need to carry that burden anymore.

Work those issues of unforgiveness out one at a time sis. You can do this.

You have already made progress....but I see that you are still working on forgiving YOU. Jesus wants you to forgive yourself sis...because His blood was shed to cover all your sins...and He has forgiven you...and wants you to do the same.

Praying for you sis.

luv ya

Hello chelle,

Forgiveness is hard if we want to hold onto the pain. Try letting go of the pain first then forgive. Ask God to remove the pain that u suffered because of the abuse. I know that has helped me with forgiveness. You see i too was sexually abused when i was little and I found that the more i let go of the pain and the memories the more easier it is to forgive. I know that God didnt want those things to happen to me, i know that man had took his own will into their hands to do those things to me, so i dont blame God at all for what had happened. I know it was sin in them and it was at no fault of my own that those things happened to me. So that was my peace. That removed the pain.. forgiveness shortly came after. NOt saying this works with all people, but am saying it has worked for me.

Work on it with Him and know He loves you dearly!

God bless

Sigh, the day started out so good, I dont even know when things started to go south. Have that big ball of dread and regret in the pit of my stomach again. Think I'll go back and read the steps i've done so far again. That may be helpful right now.

Hello Chelle :)

Re-reading those steps is an awesome idea. Woot Woot!!! :) You might want to also put on some praise music, and turn the volume up.

Sending up prayers for you, right now. God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Sister Mack
