Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Would it not be just so awesome to open your inbox one morning and under the 'From' column read, 'Jesus', and under the 'Subject' matter read, "Congratulations! You have been Chosen!" Recognizing the sender, you quickly click on his name, open it, and find a whole list of freebees, all yours for the taking. All that is required is an immediate 'Reply email', verifying you received His email. You begin to scroll down through the list and find some things you already have and find other things you would like to have. For instance heading the list is 'Salvation', free, bought and paid for by the Blood of the Sender, 'Jesus". Next on the list is deliverance, guaranteed, easy and fast. The only stipulation to receive, you must believe you have been translated from the kingdom of darkness and birthed by faith into the Kingdom of light, (Col 1:13). Next, you read about a tremendous Health Care Plan with ongoing free medical assistance, (healing by the stripes placed upon our Lord). Then the promises of daily provision follow, food, water, air etc. etc Something very interesting follows on the list; it is scriptures telling the story of a jailer in an ancient Roman city on the verge of suicide. Two old apostles, Paul and Silas were arrested for preaching and the Lord sent an earthquake one night and opened the prison doors. The jailer attending them became very fearful because he knew that it would mean his life if the prisoners escaped. As the man drew his sword to kill himself, Paul told the man, "do thyself no harm", to which the jailer replied, "What must I do to be saved?" Then you read the following words as if they were lightening bolts jumping around in your spirit; "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." You feel a weight of a thousand tons lifting from your shoulders, you begin to weep when you think of that wayward son or daughter. Those siblings you love so much, that Mom and Dad who are having such a hard time. For the first time this scripture is made alive to you and the promise of the salvation of your entire house is now a reality. Your whole day is off to a good start, you rejoice and worship Him who has sent you such great and precious promises. We know salvation, deliverance, healing and the promise of our loved ones salvation is all free. However, we also know that it will cost us everything to serve Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
