Time to pull out the shovel sis...and start digging...grabbing each one of those roots...and lots of times roots can have runners so you might have to dig for awhile...but if you are persistent and stay with it...you will finally begin to see the end of the roots and can grasp them and throw them out.

I was kind of stuck on #5still
and i did digress and i went to see about the definition of sin---and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. satan and all of that
so my question is Was it god's will for man to know the difference between good and evil since he commanded them not to eat of it? and was the sin in eating it or what came after or what they became?
and like why did they like see themselves as 'naked', like the first thing they saw when they were disobeyers or didnt follow directions and did god call it sin then? so they were sinners in genesis? and when i read about how it says little kids dont know the difference between good and evil then they arent like 'accountable' for it, then if someone is abused as a child they dont know that its wrong when an adult is doing it. its when the child gets older that they start to sense it but then its too late, and the child gets corrupted and then so thats all that child knows even if the adult is saying this is what you have to do. then you cant blame that adult when you get older for making you what you are? isnt it like a domino affect, like you just do what you are told to do. i know you say you cant blame others right? what you do, after that you become the 'sinner' after taking the bait?
i dont understand what is said about how to get rid of weeds? do you just not think about them and they go away? since it says not to think about them?

Hey labyrinth...gonna try to go question by question for ya on this reply...
Man is given a choice...it was in God's plan for them to know the difference because of the choice they made...God knew that man would fall to sin because the enemy was walking to and fro and God was aware of this as well....God allowed these things to happen for His glory.
As soon as Eve and Adam made the choice to eat of the tree of knowledge they were sinning as they went against God's instructions to them. They saw themselves as naked...because they were knowledgeable of the differences in their flesh...because they were no longer just walking in the spirit...but in the flesh as well.
Well if you become a sinner you repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness and the blood of Jesus will cover your sins. You will then be released of those sins and can move forward trying better next time. Blaming others won't help you heal...so best not to blame anyone but the enemy who controlled their actions.
Getting rid of weeds comes by going to the weed and identifying it and then laying the thoughts at the feet of Jesus and not thinking of them anymore and if you do you again lay it back at the feet of Jesus over and over as many times as it takes to rid your mind of the weed. Think on the good things...not the weeds for sure.
Your doing well labyrinth..keep searching and seeking...keep asking questions...you are growing.

This step 6 is so hard for me. its hard to read about the mind and thoughts and conscious things. its a huge task because of whats in my mind and what has been put there. will the things there just leave on their own? mind = soul? what = spirit? you can control your spirit by using your mind?
what if someone else is in control of things inside you? and you dont know about them or what is going on? like not remembering things that you should know about yourself or losing things? how do you get the other parts of your mind to cooperate and work together with one thing?

when thoughts come in to our minds that are contrary to what God says, sis..we have to not believe them for starters..then we have to push them our of our minds and replace them with what God has said. Reading His word is the best way to do that. Make sticky notes if you have to, to remind yourself of what He says...write scriptures that speak to you and place them on your bathroom mirror or on your night-stand, or on your refrigerator...someplace, or every place you will be looking...and let His word remind you. Ive kept personnal journals with scriptures that will remind me...whatever it takes to get the words from the brain to the heart. Your soul hears the truth. Your healing is in Him. Your spirit is hearing His spirit..and the Holy Spirit is praying for you and your needs and every single thing you need. Jesus is your healer. Keep seeking, sis. you are not alone. He is with you...and is speaking within your soul.

hi labyrinth,
I like to use the example of the old cartoons where the devil is on one shoulder and the angel on the other. The bad things get whispered where the good, like your conscience is telling you it is wrong. Maybe after time, the bad was told to you so much that you started to believe it was okay. But God still put your conscience in you so your spirit would know the truth.
The weeds would be the old, bad memories that you no longer want so you need to remove to make room to be open to new things. So you would control your mind by not looking to the old but reaching for the new. The new being Jesus and what He can offer in the way of healing.
I know as a Christian that people are either draw to or repelled by the light of Jesus that I am carrying.
You have it different then others. they didn't want you to come but you have. Has it been easier? I can only suggest that by accepting Jesus and asking for his help, you will be able to become whole. If the other parts see you being happy, they will want to be too, wouldn't they?

labyrinth, step 6 is the Miracle grow project and how it works is by learning to replace the things you would normally sit and dwell on with things that are more "healthy" for your mind...which in turn reaches your soul and tells your soul how you are feeling.
I know it's a tad confusing, but hang in there sis...it will all come together. Trust in God and ask Him to help you with completing the picture.

i dont know what the others think about things now. but i dont want to be torn about it. i m just here. so being fragmented isnt too great cause i figured that if i have jesus then its all of me right? like getting truth into my mind. so how do i actually tell someone else that this is what is going to be like? i dont think you understand what i m saying. i figure that a pie has many pieces but its still a pie right? does god look at me like this? i hope not. but i dont know how to make them go away. and why would i? if i get stronger in my spirit does that mean all of me is strong? i guess i m used to thinking in ways that give me problems right now.

I am positive God sees you as whole.
Maybe how a glass of ice cubes will melt into water.
they are not trying to keep you away any more so that is a good thing.
sometimes you don't have to tell someone what it's like, they can see the change in you because you cannot help but be changed.
Tomorrow's lesson should be interesting for you.
Keep going, keep reaching.

God sees you as beautiful sis...He sees you as someone who has been broken for far too long, and now He wants to put all of you back together and make you whole again...He sees someone with so much potential. Sis as I read what you shared here to help another...it truly touched my heart...God is smiling on you sis...you have gifts you don't even know you have...but in His time..you will see...just be patient and keep with the steps...as deetu says...the next step should prove interesting...besides it's the halfway point when you get there

yes. sis..you have one soul, one spirit.....one breath of life from God...one mind...these are what the Lord communicates with, no matter what is in your past. He will heal you and make you whole. Keep walking the steps. God bless you, sis.
