It's About Time...

Postby Ditto » Wed Feb 17, 2010 4:50 pm

Hi...most here know me, but since there are so many new members, maybe many don't know me....I have been a member here 7 or 8 yrs, I am the original Oasis member *Guitar* I lose track of time easily, so I am unsure lol My name is Julia and I am a mother of many, 8 to be exact!!!

well... I have hesitated for far to long about taking myself thru these steps, Now I am here ready to roll, ready to Grow in His Grace, Holding the Lords Hand every step of the way.

I am constantly encouraging others to look into this program and start the steps, I have seen this program change and cause such Joy and growth in most, I have also seen quite a few who give up and never return to finish them. Lord PLEASE don't let me be one who quits *Pray*

I am not sure at this moment what words I may end up typing during this journaling, but I want to let some of you know NOW, that because I did suffer trials even within these walls, I truly believe it will do me well to discuss the issues. names will remain anonymous, I PROMISE

So....I guess just beginning this journal is completing step one...yay :)

I Love u ALL, even those of whom I have not met...but; guess what?

JESUS ABSOLUTELY LOVES US ALL THE MOSTEST!!! *ohyeah*

Ditto!!!! Yipppeeee!!!! *angelbounce* I am so excited for you. I have done the counseling steps twice now. Both times I did a private journal, because as you said there were some issues even from here that I was dealing with and I needed to be totally open about them. As Tam put it best...we have to be truly honest in order for these steps to work.

You can do this ditto...pushing through the tough issues in the steps is important...but in the end they are worth it...the healing is real and you deserve it.

God is so proud of you for beginning sis.

luv ya bunches of lunches :)
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

STEPPIN' INTO DAY # 2...

yeah...I know it ain't been a full day (24 hrs) since I started this journey and after reading step 2, I am wondering did I truly take step one seriously?

In this journal, I would like for you to just share your thoughts, concerns and yes ...

Reveal what it is that is bothering you.

Bring it to the LIGHT OF TRUTH.

Not so sure I revealed these things...I dunno *help*

Here I sit and would love to have Jesus music playing while I type here; but my family is sleeping...it IS my family (especially children) who seem to bring the most heartache and fear of what tomorrow or even this day will bring, it hurts, it makes me O so angry and I lash out in ways I am not to, I know this is truth for His Word tells me so and the hurt I cause is mainly within myself :( ' I maybe wrong' probably am... )
The thought of going thru this in 14 short days seems unrealistic to me. for these weeds were planted many moons ago and like in natural healing, it takes three months for anything to heal (no matter how minor the injury) and another month for every year u may of been sick or hurt...see what I mean?

I am so tired right now and need sleep, I pray He brings His Peaceful Blessed Rest this night (morning) SOON!!! *Cloud9*

I don't wish to awake in tears again, cuz I realize I am still here, living in what I call my HELL!!!

I Love u Jesus/...I Love u all

*Rapture*

Ditto in nature it takes 3 + months for anything to heal.
In God things can heal much quicker. I am proof. :)
Just last week I sat in this same chair thinking the only way to stop this over whelming inner pain was death and here I am with a smile on my face anxious to see what the Lord is bringing into my day.
It can happen just that quickly.

*hug* Love you

Hi Ditto....so glad to see you doing the steps. Yes you said it takes 3 months to heal. Having gone through the steps now for the second time I would like to say this to you in hope of encouragement.
You see I have many many moons of abuse....Yes I did the steps and did them whole heartedly. Am I healed yet...NO but I have the tools that I need everyday to get me throught just today. I weed the weeds today from yesterday. I have to keep trusting God that my yesterdays are in His hands and that He is going to complete that what He started in me.
This program teaches us how to reprogram our stinking thinking and how to forgive and trust
So Are all the flashbacks gone? no Are all the memories and pain gone? no
BUt I am not giving up.. I am still pressing through and Trustomg HIM. And the tears, they are just beginning , sometimes for no reason at all. I just now that that is healing so I am trying my best not to fight it.
I have said all tihis I hope to encourage you to keep pressing in and not give up. Yes it gets very hard but worth it in the long run.
Here for you to cheer you on sis

Ditto my precious sister...I know you know the saying you receive what you believe. Go into these steps knowing they will help you heal...and they will.

God loves you ditto, and He forgives you each and everytime you do something that you are not proud of as long as you repent. He does not want you to carry blame and guilt...He wants to take all of that from you. God knows you want to become a better mom, and He will help you do so. Ask God for His help...He wants you too.

Talk to God sis. Tell Him all your hurts, all the pain you have inside, and all the changes you would like to see Him begin to make. Also, take Him inside your garden and show Him all the weeds. Ask Him to come help you pull them out one by one. He wants to see you be successful at the weeding process...because He has some seeds for beauty to plant where each weed is pulled.

You can do this sis. Praying for you.

luv ya lots

I have my computer in the living room and am usually on while my husband watches tv. Earphones! Best thing man ever made. I have a pair that blocks outside sound so I hear only the music.

I agree that God can heal quicker. Broke my wrist, amazed my doctor, the nurses and receptionist. I became freer to claim that God was the reason for my quick healing.

Ditto, you need this to be your time. It is not selfish.
You need to heal before you can deal with your family.
