Life,Anger,and fustration

Postby Guest » Tue Jan 19, 2010 6:59 am

I am having some strugles with my mood lately. I am not sure what is going on. I am going on 18 days without smoking so I don't know if that is one reason why I am so irretable. I also am still with out a job, I have a hard time sleeping. I know that these are just little things compared to some of the problems posted here but I am realy getting fusterated with this anger. I ask God for help and I tried reading the anger discussion here on the oasis site but nothing seems to work. I am realy strugleing when I go out into the world. How can I ever be good servent to God and help plant seeds if I am angry all the time? Could this be something that is going to strengthen me? Something else that bothers me is I don't have anyone I can talk to about this face to face. I know that I can come on here and post something and I always get such wonderful feed back. I just need someone who I can see. ( I hope you all understnd that).

My girlfriend of 10 years and I are having some issues to. She dose not seem to want close relationship with God. She won't go to church with me, she dose not read her bible anymore, and wouldn't even go with me when I got baptized. Everytime I try to talk to her about it I get snapped at. I have been praying alot about this situation. I don't force anything on her and I don't yell at her becuse she will not put God first in her life but I do feel like we are becomeing two different people. Maybe I am just paranoid or something I did loose alot of brain cells from drinking and druging lol. Plus I have been wondering if her and I are still living in sin because we are not married by mans laws. We have been together for 10 years. Unless I missed it, I am not sure how thay went about marraige in bible times. Did thay have cerimoinies like we do now. *ReallyConfused*

I am realy tring my best to not give up like I always do when I get to this point. That has always been a problem for me. Every time that I get to were I am right now, I give up because the pressure is to much for me to deal with. I do not want to do that again. I want to keep pressing in and letting God have control of my life. All I want from the rest of my life is to be a good and faithfull servent to God.

Luv in Christ

Hi bluebird, big *hug* for ya, cuz it sounds like you might need one.

I too recently had a huge battle with bitterness. The counseling steps reminds us that in order to overcome anger we must use love. Anger can consume us if we are not careful. Your problems are just as important to God as anyone else's and He hears your cries and wants to help you. He knows your needs. I will say that the lack of nicotine in your system will make you a bit moody...but from what I understand after about a month to a month and a half the moods will get better.

I do want to say, that yes you and your girlfriend are on different pathways right now, but God can use you to be a witness to her. I agree that getting upset with her regarding the fact that she doesn't want to accept God is not the direction to take. Be a beacon of light to her, show her kindness, compassion and love...and she will see Jesus in you.

As far as marriage goes...I believe that God knows the heart of the 2 people in a relationship...and a piece of paper does not make a marriage...commitment and love founded in God is what makes a marriage. If you would feel better by going and getting an official marriage certificate then I do encourage you to do so...but years ago marriage certificates did not exist. They are man created.

Praying for you bluebird.

luv ya

I remember when I was first saved and trying to follow God, I asked Him to bring me Christian friends because the friends I had and my husband did not believe the way I do and it would bring me away.
He did bring me those Christian friends I prayed for but I met them at conferences or church. A couple of them are an hour or more away but are my strong defenders.
Sometimes you have to go where they are to find them *BigGrin*

Is there a strong Christian AA group around you? They can be helpful. Yes, you are clean now but the support is there.

Bluebird, sometimes the root to anger is unforgiveness. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you and help you know how to deal with the cause of your anger. Once you get that taken care of, I'm sure your girlfriend will see the difference in you and start looking for the reason, bringing her back to God.
In order to have good fruit, you have to get to the root.

Hello Bluebird

Glad to see you back . Yep , it seems like you have a pile alright . This post alone covers at least 5 issues as it is , let alone the ones you didn't mention here . But what I also see , is that the reason it ended up being a "pile" , and you mentioned the root of it yourself , and , within it you will find the answer , I will highlight it for you .
Every time that I get to were I am right now, I give up because the pressure is to much for me to deal with.

See how you're ending up with a pile ? It seems like you are recognizing the prob. , decide to do something 'bout it , you're doing all you can on your part , coming to the very edge , and at that very last , final step , something is holding you back .
I think , if you were to channel your focus on that "some thing" , and find out what "it" is , I bet you will find the solution for the "pile" .
Right now it seems you're trying to get rid if the pile rather than tackle each one of the issues one at a time . Here's a little secret , that solution we talked about earlier ? It applies to ALL ! ,... if , and when you apply it By applying to one , seeing RESULTS , will take any and all doubt that this thing works . one at a time brother .

Here's the thing , and the difficulty you're having to solve your probs. .
The solution for you (my own personal experience , and its not etched in stone , well maybe it was , a long , long time ago) .
It hinges on one LETTER . Take a look at the highlighted quote , see that tiny two letter word ? Well if you were to change the m with an H , I bet you will see results that are beyond your belief , in fact , once again , you said it
I ask God for help and ..... but nothing seems to work.

You know why ? When adding the H you're forgetting to get rid of the m !

Brother , there is no such thing as too big or too small of a problem , a problem is a problem no matter how we look at it . Not resolved , it'll stay a problem . Not matter what it is , if it causes a problem , it is one . we don't deal with it , and the next and the next , we end up with a pile and we call that pile "frustration" .

Deetu suggested AA , which will solve your
Something else that bothers me is I don't have anyone I can talk to about this face to face.

The Only requirement for membership , is a DESIRE to stop drinking , hurting , getting angry , being frustrated , and here's a line to add your own ______________ , As long as we put H instead of m in the me .

In Christ , our Lord

If you could see on the other side of this you would see wisdom.

Wisdom brings patience. Grasping patience despite having the wisdom of things to come brings peace.

~When irritable we are lacking in love.~

~As love is kind. And irritability does not have fruits of kindness.~

Kindness is an action of love. Patience is a response to love.

Choose to respond to this woman in patience and act in kindness even if she is choosing wrongly.

You could be the tool God uses to save her soul.

You have chosen God. You will be rewarded greatly. May she choose just as wisely.

Above all Gods will be done.
Love ya brother bluebird *hug*

I hope that didn't sound judgemental. I was excited when I posted. Because these are the words given to me for me this past 7 days. Something I'm learning too is I've not been as patient or kind as I should be. He showed me what was lacking was love.

Thank you everyone for the insight. Big hugs for all *hug5* .

It was brought up about A.A. Yes, I do know were to go, it is not a christian aa but it is a place were I proboly could get involved with. You see, my dad has been part of A.A. for 25 years now and yesterday I got to hang out with him. He wants to get together next Tuesday and have me go to a meeting with him. I always avoided going to meetings because I did not believe that I needed to go. But like it was also said I might have to go were God leads me to meet new people. I have been going to church and I met a few people but I have not hung out with any of them. I will still fully keep my trust in God for deliverance from drugs drinking, and smoking even if I go to these meetings. Pine, if you are reading this I want you to know that I did not take any offence to what you wrote. Sometimes we need to be stern with others and truthful. Thank you and thank all of you for your friendship, love and prayers.

I keep all of you and everyone here in my prayers and if there is ever a ceratin need that anyone wants someone to stand in prayer with them for please let me know and I would love to stand in prayer with you.

God Bless each and everyone of you

Luv in Christ

Bluebird...I think it's wonderful that your going to go to a meeting with your dad. This will help you meet some new people, as well as give you some time with your dad.

Keep fighting the good fight. God has something good planned for you.

luv ya

Hey brother blue...God bless you, bro. Ya know, the things we have gone through, even in our own failures and mistakes, God uses. All things work together to the good for those who love the Lord and those who are called, according to His purpose. He will use all the things you struggle with to reach out and help someone else who is walking in the shoes you have walked in. When ya been there and done that, you know..you dont just say you understand, you do understand. This is the beauty of God's purpose in our lives...working all those things together for the good.

God bless you, bro. praying with you.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*
