Stepping Stone 5

Postby cypress » Tue Jan 12, 2010 2:13 pm

Well...my family dental benefits ended after Christmas. My family medical benefits end this month. I really need to secure a new job soon to pay my bills, support my family, and replace my totaled vehicle. Stepping stone 5 has made me think a lot and reflect on quite a bit of things.

Tam...I am speechless *Tape*. I read your story a little while ago. I cried and prayed that God continues to strengthen your heart and reveal his glorious promises to you.

Ecclesiastes 4
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

Tam...we live under the sun of our God, and should look for companionship to walk together in our lives. I am soooo sorry for what you have had to endure throughout your lifetime. Despite what man has chosen to do to you...you never walked away from your God and he never forsake you.

Tam...I am happy to be a Christian and to be in fellowship with such a strong and faithful servant. You have encouraged me beyond belief. You have opened my eyes wide to a number of things. You are such a wonderful sister in Christ. I love you Tam and I know you know that He does too.

Last night, and before reading your story...I took time to reflect (based on stepping stone 5) on all the individuals who may have wronged me throughout my life (as well as those that I may wronged along the way). I asked God to forgive them as well as myself. At that moment I cried a little and prayed for those who may have hurt me to heal their hearts and that God's grace be revealed to them. Most of all, I prayed that they may know that I forgive them.

I know that God loves me and in his perfect time he will reveal his glorious plan for me. I trust Him and my Lord Jesus that the Holy Spirit will guide me and show me the way as He sees fit.

Earlier in the day, I received a call from a fellow Christian from Canada (Ian - never met or talked to him before). He called me because I was referred to him by another individual (Shay) who has been praying for me. I've never spoken to Shay (from California)...only connected with him via email. He contacted me with regard to my prayer request. Anyway, Ian and I talked some and prayed together. He has offered to assist me in rewriting my resume and cover letter to jump back in the saddle to begin a job search. That's terrific - isn't it!

God, my God...thank you for leading those individuals to me and for Tam. I am strengthened by them and others that I am in fellowship with here on Oasis.

God, I am here to worship you. I do bow down to say that you are my God.

I am scared and not sure what is going to happen to me, my family, my life, my job search...but, I do know that my God will be with me.

God has always had a plan for you..keep going brother..one day at a time.

Hey cypress...something I am beginning to see about fear is that we are afraid to not know...the way to overcome the fear is through Faith. Continue working on building your faith. As each day passes and your Faith in knowing that God is in control grows...you will see the fear begin to subside. Right now, the mind is probably running ahead of you by days...such as what if I don't have this by next week...or what if I don't pay this by this date etc....but God says for us to live one day at a time...so focus on today only.

My prayers continue to be with you, and God definitely has a plan for you...one that He will show you when His timing is just right.

I'm so glad you have found someone to help you with your resume. I believe that God sent this person to help you...because He knew you needed some help. He's already moving.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Cypress please don't be sorry for me. Cause see if it weren't for my past someone else might not have a future because they would give up.
I thak God that He is using my past to encourage you.. You see with Him doing that, it makes every pain worth it because it is not about me but it is all about Him and His love and direction for us.
I pray that you would keep your eyes on Him and that you would keep reaching for Him. Don't ever let go of His hand cause He is never going to let go of yours. Remembe no matter how hard it gets, you can make it because He is at your side.
I am so glad that you are going to get help doing all the preparations that you need to do in order to find a job. I pray that God would place that perfect job that He would have you have before you .
Hang in there and keep your faith.

Hi Cypress...reading your post I realize how hard life can be sometimes, when it seems as if nothing is working for us, maybe against us...and as I read what you're doing about it, I'm encouraged and I hope you can be encouraged yourself...you're doing everything right, and you'll have to keep your hope alive because the hard times last only a season...talking to us on this forum is important, don't stop, we can keep you lifted up to the Father in prayer, and encourage you. Do you have a trusted friend who loves the Lord who you can "dump" on...a friend during hard times is like a healing ointment on wounds...I love you
