Never forget that we ALL fall down as we sojourn down this Christian Walk. The trick is to get up and carry on fighting the good fight of FAITH. One of the greatest gifts that our Father gave to Christians is ... Fellow Christians. James 5:16 ... Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. I'm writing this a bit emotional. Today while writing a paper some of the things I wrote about triggered my past and whooosh there you go all of the emotions coming up again. This is usually when I go into avoidance mode. I hate the feelings that come when I think about it ....so sad :( but one good thing did come out of it. I decided I am going to seek some professional help next year. They have chrisitan counselors at my school I am going to talk to someone so that I can get some help. I had wanted to do that in the past but the shame of telling someone in person was too much. I feel brave enough to do it now though. I tell you this healing process is painful! I am going to stay on this site because I feel that it is helping me so much. If not for this site I don't think I would have even considered telling anyone..honestly....
oh ...and
You know I was thinking of printing out the steps and doing them while I travel...good idea!

Thanks everyone for all of your support.
You don't know how much it helps to come here and find encouraging words. *saint*

hey learning sis *hug*

Wow those emotions sure can overwhelm us huh? Just know that those emotions can only be brought to the surface when we allow them too...so replace your thoughts on the Lord and you will see the emotions turn into Joy and Happiness instead of hurt and pain. It's a replacement factor...take out a weed...place in a good seed....

We are here for you sis. This will pass sis...don't give up Hope.

Praying for you.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

hey learning...this song reminded me of your post today. Let go of the shame, sis. it's not yours to carry. Jesus bore our shame.....and.....that shame was never yours to carry. That's one of the ugliest lies the enemy throws at us after being abused...is that it was our fault in some way. Even if we did play a part in it, Jesus paid a high price to build that bridge that leads to forgiveness and mercy through God's grace.

Whatever Reason by Disciple

In a whirlwind caught away
Broken lips have carried you to a place
Where you don't know just how you ever got this far away from here
Thinking somehow you could cross the point of no return
But my love will never end

Whatever reason you've been running
I just don't care anymore
Already forgotten whatever happened with what went wrong
I just want you to come home

Incarcerated, borrowed shame
Freedom was the promise they took away

And now you're left with what you find so hard is forgiving yourself

Whatever reason you've been running
I just don't care anymore
Already forgotten whatever happened with what went wrong
I just want you to come home

I see something far away
Could this be the day to take you in these arms and wash all of the wasted days and years away?
Just to see the eyes of my beloved child
Now I'm running; I'm the one that's running

Whatever reason you've been running
I just don't care anymore
Already forgotten whatever happened with what went wrong
I just want you to come home
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
