Bible Study from the beginning:

Let's begin, shall we? Jesus neared the time that He had been telling His Apostles about ... His crucifixion and death on the Cross, and then His rising again. I know you must be excited to begin our Christian Palm Sunday Bible study adventure, so let's get after it. As Jesus and His Apostles came near to Jerusalem, He sent two of them ahead of Him and said, Go into the village up ahead, and as soon as you get there, you'll find an donkey and her colt tied with her, that has never been sat upon. Loose them and bring them here. If anyone asks you what you're doing, say that the Lord has need of them, and immediately he will send them.

Jesus Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment Alert ... This happened just as Jesus said, to fulfill the prophecy written by the prophet (Zechariah 9:9).

The Christian Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment has begun ... When the disciples brought the donkey and her colt, they laid their garments on the animals and set Jesus on the colt. Crowds of people walking with them laid their own garments in the street while other people cut down branches from the trees and covered the street with them. This was the way the people showed that in their hearts they knew Jesus was the Messiah. This was a royal carpet that they made for Him, out of palm branches, and that's why the day is celebrated known as Palm Sunday.

The disciples and all the people in the crowd cried, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. As many times as you've read, heard, or sung the word Hosanna, do you know what it means? The word Hosanna means, pray. It also means save (us)! It is used as a cry of acclamation and adoration. Pretty interesting, huh? Another cool thing is that the people were quoting a Psalm of David's when they said this, (Psalms 118:26).

Some of the people following were with Jesus when He raised Lazarus from the dead, and they testified of it, many others followed because they heard that Jesus had done this miracle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, See how you just can't win? Look, the world is going after Him.

There were certain Greeks (Gentiles) among those who came up to worship at the feast, and they came to Philip and asked if they could see Jesus. Philip told Andrew and they both went to tell Jesus. Jesus said, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Truly, truly, I tell you, Unless a corn of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be and if any man serve me, my Father will honor him. Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause I came unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from Heaven, saying:

I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

Our Christian Palm Sunday Bible study shares with us that the people that stood by and heard it, said that it thundered, others said, An Angel spoke to Him. Jesus said, This voice didn't come because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth (crucified), will draw all men unto me. He said this, signifying how He would die.

The people answered Him, We have heard out of the law that Christ lives for ever. Why do you say, The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? Then Jesus said, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you, for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes. While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the ... Children of the LIGHT

After Jesus said these things, He departed, and hid Himself from them. But though He had done so many miracles before them, still they didn't believe in Him, That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke (Isaiah 53:1), Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

So they couldn't believe, because as Isaiah also said (Isaiah 6:9-10) He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed in Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not admit it, for fear that they'd be put out of the synagogue, because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, He that believes in me, believes not in me, but in Him that sent me. And he that sees me sees Him that sent me.

Here is a Jesus Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment Point of Interest ... I am come a light into the world, that whoever believes in me should not live in darkness. And if any man hears my Words, and doesn't believe, I don't judge him: because I didn't come to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and doesn't receive my words, has One that judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

It is time for the Christian Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, the city was stirred saying, Who is this? The people from the crowd answered, This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. Did you know that the prophet Daniel told about this very day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem, too? He not only told that it would happen, but the very day it would happen. It is time for a Christian Palm Sunday Bible study field trip before we continue to discover the mysterious meaning of the Jesus Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment. You can read about this in (Daniel 9:25-27), and you can study the details of it at The 70th Week of Daniel.

I truly hope you actually chose to or will choose to read the 70th week study. Bring your calculator or a pencil and paper and do all the math for yourself, because when you realize the magic of the prophecy, it really makes you open your eyes wide and just say, Wow! It's a great feeling when you get confirmation of things that make your faith stronger and even if you read something, sometimes you just don't believe it as firmly as if you go through it and figure it out yourself. We are curious, us humans.

Now, the Pharisees didn't like the fact that the people referred to Jesus as, 'He who comes in the name of the Lord,' because they thought it was blasphemous. They said to Jesus, Stop your disciples. Jesus answered them, I tell you, if they kept quiet, the stones would immediately cry out. You have to love the eloquence Jesus had with words, and the humor He used. Had He said ... My identity is gonna be revealed one way or another, it just wouldn't have had the same effect as what He chose to say.

Jesus has now arrived in Jerusalem in our Christian Palm Sunday Bible study ... When Jesus saw the city of Jerusalem ahead of Him, it brought Him to tears and He cried, If you had only known the things needed for peace! But, now they're hidden from your eyes. (If they had only not hardened their hearts. But now the time of the Jewish people was ending with Jesus' visit and they didn't accept Him or believe in Him.) The days will come when your enemies will encircle you and besiege you on every side, and they'll lay you and your children within you (Jerusalem and it's people) flat on the ground. They won't leave a stone unturned because you didn't know the time of your visitation (the time your King came to see you).

Jesus was giving a very sad prophecy during the Jesus Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment ... Jesus was talking about what will happen in the End to Jerusalem in 70 AD, as you'll also find in (Luke 21:20).

Then Jesus went into the Temple of God, and found people selling oxen, sheep and doves. The money changers were also doing business in the Temple. Jesus made a whip out of small cords and drove them all out of the Temple, pouring out the changers money and overthrowing the tables. He said, It is written, My house shall be called of all nations, the House of Prayer; but you've turned it into a den of thieves. The zeal of your house has consumed me. The disciples remembered then, that David had written that long ago, (Psalms 69:9). As well as the Jesus Palm Sunday Prophecy fulfillment ... This was also prophesied by (Isaiah 56:7 and Jeremiah 7:11).

Then the Jewish people said to Him, Are you showing us a sign by doing these things? Jesus answered them, Destroy this Temple and in three days I'll raise it up. The people said among themselves, It took forty six years to build this Temple, and you'll rebuild it in three days? But Jesus was talking about the Temple of His body. (Later, when Jesus was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this and they believed what Jesus said).

The blind and the lame came to Jesus then, in the Temple, and He healed them. There were also children there singing, Hosanna to the son of David. When the priests and scribes saw the miracles that Jesus performed and the children glorifying Him, it annoyed them greatly. Jesus said to them, Yea, haven't you ever read, Out of the mouths of babes you have perfected praise? Again Jesus was quoting David's words (Psalm 8:2). The chief priests and scribes then started looking for a reason to kill Jesus because all the people were so astonished by His teaching, but they couldn't figure out what to do. After that, Jesus left the Temple and went outside of Jerusalem into Bethany and stayed there through the night.
