Stepping Stone #3

Divine Forgiveness Faith
Teenage Mistakes in the Bible Lesson
To Err is Human to Forgive Divine Hope

Psalms 39:7

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

I trust you've been patient to wait like we talked about. It is bringing you closer to your goal. Keep up the wonderful job!

Remember this is your time ... No interruptions.

Let's take a little walk, shall we?

As we discussed before ... Standing on your second Stepping Stone, and looking out over your garden, you can see that it needs some work. But ... Before we get to work, we must complete this step. The third Stepping Stone is something that requires absolutely no work at all on your part.

You may want to compare it to a spring rain. It will soften up the soil of your garden so that the weeds that we have to pull, will come out easier.

Teenage Mistakes

Ok, let's be real. All teens make teenage mistakes and most teens have a hard time dealing with the teenage mistakes they make, some do not feel forgiven for the teenage mistakes and some just cannot forgive themselves for the teenage mistakes.

Others feel God could never forgive them for the teenage mistakes they have made. Uh huh ... That is a straight up lie.

Let's talk about ...

God's Grace

What is God's Grace?

Open up your heart and listen ... I will reveal to you the Truth of God's Grace today, and the Truth is this ... God sacrificed His only Son to get His children into Heaven. Think about that for a second ... God sacrificed His only Son to get you into Heaven.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But, why did God choose to sacrifice His Son? It's very simple. Because mankind had done so much bad, that all the sacrificing in the world wouldn't cleanse away the sin. See, long ago, animal sacrifices were needed to cleanse away the sins that mankind committed against God. But now ... Jesus is the sacrifice. Believing in Jesus, cleanses away our past sins. God loved us so much, that even knowing the only sacrifice that would suffice, was His own Son, and He decided to do it anyway ... To save His children.

One more thing to ponder on ...
Jesus Himself chose to lay down His life for you.

Now, make no mistake my friend,

By no means is God's Grace a Get out of hell free card. You are still responsible for your actions after you receive God's Grace.

God's Grace reveals that if you truly believe in Jesus, you would know that He loves you so much, that He was willing to die for you, and He did. You will truly want to do what He wants you to do, because you would know that He is looking out for your best interests. You will try hard not to do things that would make Him ashamed or disappointed in you. You may fall, but always remember that only a worm is free from the worry of stumble and the real test is to see if you'll get up, dust yourself off, carry on and never surrender.

As time passes, you'll find that you begin to make the right choices, out of love, not fear of punishment. It will be your Faith that establishes your works.

Lost Love and Faith

Now, there are many people that were Christians and have stopped believing in God, because something really bad happened. For example, they lose a friend or family member to divorce or death. They decide to blame God or say, if there is a God, why would He allow this to happen. I want you to know that I TRULY feel your pain, for I have lost that which was most dear to me, but I also know this ... Christians encounter tribulation and trials just like everybody else, and to stop believing in God, will not explain away the loss.

Isaiah 57:1-2

1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart [understands it]: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2 He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

Sometimes these things are allowed to happen for a reason, that we don't understand, reasons that we can't even fathom. I've found that nine times out of ten, it was caused by negligence or a decision made on mankind's part. A true friend tells the Truth, and the Truth is, most of the time, we bring our problems on ourselves.

Understand This Truth ...

Every day, each of us makes choices that have the capability to affect ourselves and others, whether the choice be good or bad. God allows mankind to make their own decisions because He doesn't want puppets. He allows us free will. The other one out of ten (reasons why things are allowed to happen) is what I call the test or trial factor.

I have no idea why God allows certain things to happen, but regardless of why, it is His Will and perhaps one day we will understand why certain things were allowed to happen. Until then ... We must trust Him.

If you have lost love due to death or divorce ... Check out this study.

Forgiven and Forgotten

No matter what you've done, or what your problem is, God forgives you. He even forgives murderers. Know how you know this to be Truth? Look at king David.

David desired Uriah's wife Bathsheba but she was married. He laid with her anyway and she conceived a child by King David while her husband was out at war defending his country and his king. David found out Bathsheba was pregnant so he called Uriah in from the war zone and tried to get Uriah to lay with Bathsheba while he was on leave from the war. David wanted Uriah to believe that he was the Dad of the child Bathsheba was pregnant with and not King David, so that nobody would figure out what King David had done. But Uriah, being a good man said he would not take rest and sleep with his wife while his fellow Israelite soldiers were at war.

David was in trouble ... Sooooooo, David ordered the Captain of the army to place Uriah on the front line of the war where the battle was heated up so that he was sure to be killed. Uriah was killed and David took his wife Bathsheba as his own wife.

But ... God was watching and sent a prophet to David to let David know that God was not pleased. David repented of his sin. God punished David, by killing the child that Bathsheba conceived by him, and then God forgave David of this sin.

Now here is the awesome part ...

Even after these sins ... David is known as the "apple of God's eye," and all kings after him were compared to King David by God. David and Bathsheba went on to have another son named Solomon, and David's bloodline carried on through Solomon and led ... All the way to Jesus.

Our Lord Jesus was placed into the bloodline of King David through Solomon ...

I'd call that forgiven and forgotten ... Wouldn't you?

Thank God for Divine Forgiveness

To Err is Human to Forgive Divine Quote

In like manner ... Our sins cannot outdo God's Grace. If you're sorry for your sins, and repent to God through Jesus' name there is no effort whatsoever required of you to obtain God's Grace. It's a miracle that is already yours, all you have to do is accept it. God doesn't ask us to jump through hoops or stand on our head to be forgiven. He doesn't demand that we work hard to win His love back. He just asks that we believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the Cross and that God raised Him from the dead. It's so simple, yet many people choose to believe or are con-vinced into believing that they are not able to be forgiven for their sins. These souls need only trust in His Grace.

Let Go and Let God!

Let Go (of your problem), And Let God (remove it)!

God forgives! That is divine forgiveness.

Teenage mistakes occur. One must choose to accept divine forgiveness and forget teenage mistakes. Even if the mistakes are our own.
