My feet brush against
The carpet of green grass
As the wind of summer
Blows through my hair.
I feel the suns warmth
Kiss my body
With the essence of lilacs
Dancing in the air.
I am reminded of home
A slow paced life
That would leave me with a quiet heart.
Embracing God's creation
In the memories of those summer days
My dreams began.

A World Full of Color
As the trees turn from their heartfelt green
To shades of red, yellow, orange, and pink,
Gray skies turn blue,
Cotton clouds float by,
And the arch of a rainbow touches the sky.
While the golden sun beats down on Earth's beauty,
The snow white covered ground
Holds it's barren trees form while waiting for Spring.
As God's tears blanket the Earth,
Wild violets surround a prism of iris's
In an enchanted garden.
An array of rose moss grows wildly over the top
Of it's makeshift bed,
Tantalizing the hearts of passers by.
Colorfast butterflies and bumble bees
Have once again filled the air.
Summer has arrived with croaking bullfrogs
And crickets everywhere.
Each passing season brings forth new beauty,
To fill the eyes and souls
Of those who look to see.
In a world full of color,
A new hope and love
Was given to you and me.

Nature's Music
The song fills the room,
Lyrics lift the heart,
Music to one's ears,
And a step into the stars.
All through the night
The Earth dances
In the moonlight
Laying peace
Within one's soul
For a good nights sleep.
Anxious eyes awaken
From black beauty to pure gold
Of the mornings sun,
Birds and butterflies
Are singing nature's song,
As the whistling breeze
Passes over God's work of beauty.
Bees are buzzing madly
And children's laughter replenishes
The Spirit
Of nature's music.
Each one who stops to listen
Tears may swell in the eyes
Bringing forth the Lord's many blessings
In chords of nature's sky.
Ms. Angela Willis
The Thunderstorm
Bursting clouds of gray and white
Roll across the sky,
Hiding the suns face,
In the peak of day.
Grandma is singing, "Blessed Assurance",
While baking in the kitchen.
The thunder pounds against our ears,
Ringing out the power of an Almighty God.
Watching the yonder darken,
I Walk out to the breath of God
Briskly flowing in the trees and fields.
Bolts of lightening pierce an endless sky,
Suddenly tears of God pour from the eyes
Of Heaven.
Refreshing the Earth's beauty,
Washing away impurities unseen, unknown.
I feel the power of my Lord,
In this thunderstorm.
Ms. Angela Willis
The Rain
Raindrops falling,
Touching the earth.
Tears of God,
Grandma would say.
To wash away to the sins of man,
Adding beauty throughout the land.
Sky of blue, clouds of white,
Eager children playing outside.
Mystifying puddles made by the rain,
Mud squished between their toes,
Children singing,
keeping time with the falling raindrops.
The rain has nourished the fields again,
Feeding the garden and all within.
The flowers will bloom
And the air will cool,
The sun will shine,
And a rainbow is left hanging in sky,
Hovering over the beauty,
That the rain left behind.
Ms. Angela Willis
The Land
The trees stand bare
From the passing winter.
A creek flows through the land
From the melting snow.
Old cars and wagon wheels,
Steal the majestic beauty
Of God's handy work.
The land is serene
Filled with love
Sent to us from Heaven above.
The captivating essence
Of all that is
Gives such a reminder
Of an undying love
For all the world
To enjoy.
Clancy's Delight
Clancy is a monkey
As sweet as he could be,
Swinging on a branch
While looking back at me.
Such a little baby
With pint size hands and feet.
Clancy's sweet pea eyes,
Gazed around at all that was
Within his reach.
Given a banana,
He peeled it with his teeth,
Then he scarfed it down
As fast as he could eat.
Then the little stinker,
While clinging to the fence,
Grabbed my hair
And gave it a yank.
OUCH!
Clancy is a little showoff,
Of all that he can do.
So he took a bag of chips
And he ate them, too.
One might say,
Clancy takes his biggest delight
In making a smile appear.
Ms. Angela Willis
The Serpent
There is a black snake
Slithering across the ground
I wonder if he knows that I'm around.
Searching for a place to go
He slithers a little further, just a little more.
Then he stops,
As if he knows that I am there,
I take a deep breath
Watching his silk looking skin,
Hoping he that he will pass by me
So I can go on my way.
Please, oh please just go on your way,
I don't want to come
face to face with you today.
