"My Heart Will Fly" by MercyMe

Why this happened I cannot explain,
Why write the script with such heartache and pain?
Could there not have been an easier way?
Watching life through this glass so faded,
I cannot see the bigger picture taking place
Oh, to understand one day.

[chorus]
And my heart will fly,
When I finally see you face to face,
and my tears will fly away, away.

It won't be long until we all go home,
with all things revealed and on that day we'll finally know,
oh, as we are fully known.
[back to chorus]

And what appears as incomplete,
is still completely Yours,
and one day we'll see as we've been seen,
and we'll soar.
[back to chorus]

There is a story about a little girl who is walking with her father. He is holding her hand, but she stumbles over a crack in the cement and falls. She begins crying from the pain as she scraped her knee. She called out "Daddy!". He immediately reaches out for her and she goes to him. He holds her in his arms and comforts her. Then he cleans up the scrape on her knee and sets her right. They continue walking together while the little girls knee still smarts. But she knows her father loves her and she feels safe and secure.

This is a great story about faith and trust. We can learn a lot from the little girl. She had faith her father would be there for her. She called out for him. And he was right there with her. She trusted him to cleanse her wound and set her straight. When they continued walking, she trusted that her father would continue to be with her, even if she stumbled again. She trusted that he would help and comfort her again, if ever it would happen again.

Our Father is there for us too. Even in times when it feels He is not there, He is with us.

Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart, don't try to figure everything out on your own. Listen to His voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He will keep you on track.

Hebrews 13:5,6 .I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

We don't always understand why things happen to us. It's probably safe to say that most of us have had things happen which we will never understand, in this fleshly life. Don't be obsessed with it. Be content with what you have. God assured us He will never let us down, never walk off and leave us. He is there, ready to help. He is fearless, no matter what.

Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

This echo's Hebrews 13:5,6. We should not fear what happens to us, with God on our side.

One day, all things will be revealed. We will fully understand why our lives have been filled with such heartache and pain. Until that day comes, we should keep our hearts and minds focused on Christ Jesus.

Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Take joy in doing God's will, despite what hardships come to you. He is your God. Let His Word enter into your life and your heart. Make it become part of your very being. Be true to Him and let Him lead you. His Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. It will give you peace.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

John 16:33These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

God gave us the Word of Christ Jesus to for our salvation and to bring us peace. Study the Word and keep it in your heart. Remember His teachings when you are down. They will help you through the pain and anger.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 In every thing, give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Be thankful in all circumstances. No matter what. Pray all the time. This is how God wants us to live.

The Lord will take us by the hand and guide us in our lives. He will not always reveal Himself to us, but He will help you to make sense out of what has happened or will happen. He gives us the spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

God bless you all. I love you very much.

My resolution for today, next month, and years to come is to be further from the world and closer to the Word.
