twenty-four hours a day/ july 2

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

thought for today:
in association with members of the AA group to which we belong,
we have the advantage of sincere friendship and understanding of the other members who, through social and personal contact, take us away from our haunts and enviroments and to help to remove in large measurements the occasions of alcoholic suggestion.
we find in this association and sympathy a willingness on our part
of most members to do everything in their power to help us.

prayer for the day:
I pray that i may become like a child in faith and hope.
I pray that I may, like a child, be friendly and trusting.

It's amazing how much... even in Christian chatrooms... people talk about their enjoyment of drinking alcohol ... not realizing, I'm sure.. how very easily our minds (those of us who struggle with drinking) can be turned off of Christ and onto the world.
